When reflecting on the year of what they enjoyed most, they said 3DBear. At the beginning of this year, it is the one app that was repeatedly requested to start using again. My PreK students enjoy using creating their own augmented word walls. They place letters next to objects that begin with that sound. My older students create augmented greeting cards, book reviews, book trailers, and augmented scenes. I received a call the same day. I wasn’t expecting that. I’m impressed. I started sharing the tech last week during PD with my teachers. They see the potential for a lot of engaging lessons with students. We very much like the integration with Thingiverse. It makes a lot of sense. Integration with Tinkercad next? We also loved the ability to import our own 3D models into a scene. It’s also an app that any educator or student can begin creating in immediately with little to no experience.
