The headset is connected to the phone and everything is working except the app. The headset can connect to the app but the next time I try it is not connecting. I have to disconnect the headset and search for it again to get the connection back. **Developer response:** Dear Customer, please check if your 3M equipment is supported by the app. There's a list of supported models in the side-menu of the app. If you are not sure, please contact us through the app's support request form and we're happy to help. ### 1/5 — App not connecting. *2025-03-12* The few times I try to use the app there is always some connection problem between the app and the headset. No rhyme or reason to it and tried everything. Unusable ### 1/5 — New update to review *2021-08-31* Honestly a huge disappointment. You pay $3,500 for a welding helmet that tells you it has Bluetooth capability to control with you phone. NEVER WORKS RIGHT. ALWAYS HAS PROBLEMS CONNECTING!!!! So if that’s why you’re buying it. Don’t! The helmet is great but this app sucks and never stays connected to the helmet G5-01vc. So you always have to delete and reconnect the helmet. ### 1/5 — Won’t open *2019-08-21* Was great until the update 2 weeks ago. Will no longer open on my iPhone 8. ### 3/5 — Tap function iffy *2026-03-09* Cool app to keep track of usage, but in reality it’s just faster to change settings on the hood itself. The one issue I have is the app keeps turning off my tap function every time my app and hood disconnect from each other. Very frustrating. ### 4/5 — Needs tweaking for iPhone *2021-05-29, version 1.8* Really great to have all the data available once connected. Manual/brochure/data sheets/device how to video with Swedish model/functional elements to 3M Peltor Alert XPI pink/Blue headband. But with start up Bluetooth issues when using the app while also trying to get the phones to call it was ultimately uninstalled when using with 3M Peltor Alert XPI pink/Blue ACK unit which has been a Shane but has not caused any issues with the head unit expectations as the 3M Peltor Alert XPI pink/Blue headset works seamlessly with two iPhones connected and the app merely complicated a set up which is perfect once up and running. Turn on headset listen for “blue tooth connected then “Bluetooth connected signalling both phones are connected then it’s off to work.
