I speak English. My wife’s entire family in Brazil only speak Portuguese. 

It’s impossible to have real conversations with them using this app. 

Dream:
Their Portuguese hits my AirPod as English - doesn’t work

My English is translated into Portuguese and comes out of my phone speaker or another AirPod - doesn’t work

Base case:
We stare at my phone screen as we speak our native language and see the translation in real time on my phone - doesn’t work. Not even close to real time and if there is ANY chatter outside of simply 1–1 convo the entire thing is ruined.

I needed it for my mother as she doesn’t understand the english church we attend. I was worried about it translating the church vocabulary but it was perfect. Fast, correct, and free it’s everything i could wish for and more. Thank you so much creators of this wonderful app.❤️❤️

It works when people speak word by word and slow. But, it has difficulties when people speak fast. Nevertheless, it does the job.

Works amazingly but you do need a newer phone to have over 90% of the translation. It needs a lot of resources if you’re listening to a speech or someone talking continuously. It lags behind if the phone is a bit older and it starts missing sentences…which is to be expected. 
It’s perfect for short conversations. 
I highly recommend.

Broadcast hosts now get a QR code and join link after starting a session. Anyone with the link can follow along in a browser. Muting no longer shows a false connection error.
