Good little app, but doesn't so much for $2.59 NZD if I'm being honest. Would like to be able to customise more & see a grid of all countdowns.

For some reason, most of the countdown apps in the App Store fall into one of two categories - brutally ugly or no badge countdown.
I'm not sure why this is. Having the badge show the actual countdown number is simple brilliance. Why *wouldn't* you want this? At the same time, why are most of these apps so ungodly ugly? It's a mystery.
Good thing for this app then. It has a badge countdown. It looks great. It employs subtle, effective sounds. You can have more than one countdown inside the app.
This is the best countdown app in the store. Before this app was updated, I was using Big Day, which is a little flashier (and actually nice looking), but lack of badge countdown = the boot! Goodbye!

Works perfectly for counting down days!
I count down the days until my favorite event of the week happens. This shows the number of days remaining on a red badge so every day I notice it getting closer out of the corner of my eye while I use my phone.
That really helps make the wait seem not so bad and lengthy. I always know I only have X more days to wait.

D application with LIMITED countdowns
TO AWARE!
This app provides you with limited number of countdowns you can have.
For me it seems as a joke, that's why my rating is 1/5. Will update it when this limitation gets removed.

Just what I was looking for, Except....
...limited to the number of countdowns that can be entered. If you have a large family, or plenty of friends, it is impossible to enter all birthdays and anniversaries. A shame since I really liked the UI that showed when the next event was coming up,
