The best portable scanner - a life changer
I went through about a dozen of the top scanners and settled on Turbo Scan as the best and easiest scanner.
I now create multi-page PDFs and put them in different folders in Dropbox (which provides the organization). Then I throw out the original rather than store them in boxes where I’ll never find them. Worth the $
We are a 1-1 iPad, pretty much paperless school, and I love this scanner. It’s perfect for scanning right from my desk and uploading directly to the students iPads. I use this everyday! It’s the best... saves documents, crops, edits, all of it. love that I can choose between scanning just a single page or a group of pages! Amazing app for small business
For years, I have been looking for a way to capture my paper receipts…plus add labels… plus sort them into categories for my CPA...plus add later receipts to the categories I already created. Finally! Genius scan does all of that: fast and easy with very clear images.
Now, I send everything to my CPA via the Internet with no need to save all those random pieces of paper which used to clutter my life and make me feel disorganized.
BTW: Apple lost one of my iPhone my backups—it’s important to export these or use their Genius cloud for automatic back up.Show lessRobbbieC9
Better before
I have been using Genius Scan + for years. I have recommended this for my sales team as well. I will need to look for a new app after the changes. I scan receipts quickly and send to my e-mail so I have copies while traveling. I typically need to do some editing before sending. I rarely need to save anything on the phone. Now, there are far too many steps to edit and send the e-mail. This is a very disappointing change. It would have been better to give us the option to keep it working as it was. From 5 to 2 stars with latest version
This used to be one of my favorite apps and I gave it an excellent review a few years ago. But all of a sudden this update has made it a so aggravating that it's almost unusable for me. It used to ask me to scan a page at a time and now it thinks I want to scan multiple pages and it's not easy to figure out how to end a scan. Because it used to scan one page at a time I could correct the orientation of each page as I scanned it but now I have to go into the document and adjust each one separately which cost me more time. It locked up when exporting and I had multiple problems exporting it to dropbox. Sometimes it would only send one of multiple pages other times it would lock up and the latest option was squishing two pages into one page. It might be because one was landscape and one was portrait but it still should be able to fix that. It's just a bummer when something works well and then it becomes so aggravating you wish you hadn't purchased it.Show lessRobbieGB

Hello, With this last update we know we have changed quite a bit and we understand that this can be frustrating. The next major update will actually make everything much faster (actually faster than the previous update) but we needed to take this step before. I apologize for this being inconvenient. Incredibly useful app, that is reliable and functions perfectly. I’m extremely pleased even with the free version, and am considering purchasing the paid version just to support the developers. Right now I’m turning all my tax documents into PDFs with the “magic” picture taking option, and it’s quick and flawless. Genius Scan has saved me a multitude of times!
Genius scan is a great tool when needing to immediately turn any document into a PDF. I work closely with my attorney, we have time sensitive matters that require immediate attention. I may be on a plane, make a discovery, and within seconds he has said document in a PDF form. It also is extremely helpful for our business. Anyone who is in the business world should absolutely have Genius scan. People are constantly asking me to scan things via genius scan and I am completely baffled as to why they don’t get it themselves. It is so user friendly my 7 year old can use it.... not to simply it, I’m just saying that it makes my life so much easier and you don’t have to be the most computer savvy person to use it..Show lessMerkoi-8
The app is almost perfect, but...
It’s almost perfect, but it’s missing the option to email to myself automatically in the Settings or to upload the scanned docs to my email service app. Since my service app is not supported (Yahoo), I need to go thru a process where I upload the documents thru Genius Scan+ to iCloud or Google Drive and then use my email app to attach to an email. Best App I ever downloaded
Tried many scanner apps and GeniusScan+ is the one that does everything needed. It is my most used and dependent on work tool especially when I need or want to tidy up my document(s).
Support Techs are very diligent in responding to calls for help or bug fixes unlike other apps. Any issue I’ve had were responded to promptly and most of the time the issues/bugs were already being addressed. Can’t ask for more than that.Show lessfguerrero671
