### 3/5 — Location issues

*2020-12-05, version 2.2*

I’m using the 2.2.05 version of this app. While it has improved a lot, there are still some serious issues still with locations. I’ll be home and it puts me 2 miles from my home! Or I’ll go somewhere and it puts me down the street. When I go to work, I’ve worked at 4 different locations according to the app! The thing is this app asks you if you want location running. If I’m going to say yes, I want it running, and you are still killing my battery, have me where I’m truly at!!

### 2/5 — Battery

*2020-11-10, version 2.2*

I been charging my battery a lot. I never been the one to plug in daily. This app used 30% of my battery in the past 24 hours and past 10 days. I just charged yesterday afternoon. Like others said you are home and it shows you traveled to your neighbors house.
Pull the plug.

I tried the app again. Same thing. 100% Sunday evening and 13% 24 hours later. I don’t like to charge my phone daily. So I’m uninstalling it again.

### 3/5 — Good but a power drain

*2020-09-23, version 2.1*

Seems like an effective enough tool but a heavy drain on the battery even running minimal requirements. Watching my battery usage, this one app by far uses a far greater percentage of power than other applications. And while, again running minimal specs the data usage is higher than expected, but not inordinately so.

### 3/5 — Love the idea, but there’s a functionality issue

*2020-09-15, version 2.1*

In order to track people’s locations using the app, you have to allow the app to use your location 24/7. The problem is, this app saps energy more than most apps I’ve used. For reference, I left the house today around 7:10 with 100% battery. As I write this at 10:20, I have 34% battery. It’s not uncommon for me to have to charge my phone once a day due to my usage, but my battery would have lasted 7-8 hours without getting low.

I would suggest to developers to research how Pokemon Go lowered the battery usage rates. I use that app as well and, while the game saps battery at 1% per 2 minutes while open and in use. Alternatively, there are no noticeable differences when the app uses my location 24/7 (to track steps toward the game) in standard usage.

Other than the battery issue, I would have loved to keep this app on my phone. I would recommend that RIDOH make advertisements about the app when it has become more efficient.

### 3/5 — Battery killer app

*2020-09-12, version 2.1*

I had this on my phone for a couple of months until I deleted it yesterday. I deleted it because it kills battery life. I have a phone that’s only a year old and after I downloaded the app, I would have to charge my phone a couple of times a day. Yesterday...I did use my phone a bit for creating videos in the morning and I was at 20% by 11am after a full charge overnight. So I deleted it after having enough of losing battery life like that.

The GPS was kind of inaccurate...it was in the ballpark of where I was. Since I don’t really go anywhere but home, work, the store and the gas station since Covid hit, I don’t really need the location diary

### 4/5 — Runs the battery down too fast!

*2020-09-09, version 2.1*

Just when I’m on the move and can’t plug in. Maybe there’s a way to improve power drain.

### 4/5 — Covid diary the easy way but high battery usage

*2020-08-30, version 2.0*

I fully support Covid mitigation efforts such as mask wearing and contact tracing. This app makes it so much easier to keep a diary of where I’ve been, especially if I forget to make a note that day. The only caveat I’ve noticed with using this app is the battery usage seems high. When I’m at home and through the night this app is always on top for highest battery usage. I wish there was a way to confirm your home or add your address so the app stops using the higher services such as location tracking and cell when in my home.

### 1/5 — Battery killer

*2020-08-19, version 2.0*

I had to delete this app because it drained my battery. The app seemed good but before the end of the day, my phone was dead. After a week a week of this I decided it just wasn’t worth it. I gave it a second try and the same thing happened. I deleted it again. Also the location was never accurate.

### 4/5 — Suggest adding a way to add a location entry manually

*2020-08-17, version 2.0*

A lot of the stops I make aren’t long enough to register with this app. It would be good to have a way (a button, possibly)to mark a location and add notes. Also, I’d like to be able to add notes about who I interacted with before I leave a location. Having the entry not in the location log until you leave means you can’t enter people’s names while you are with them. Being able to make a manual entry would fix both problems.

### 1/5 — Location data is wrong, runs down battery fast

*2020-08-12, version 2.0*

This app is a good idea, but the location data is so wrong. I took a 30 minute walk yesterday and the app says I loitered on a corner that I wasn’t anywhere near for EIGHTEEN HOURS, and then that I went to a bar for four more hours. That’s..... so wrong. I would be hesitant to trust contact tracing information based on this app. I’m deleting and will just keep my own log in a notebook.

.... Tried this again after the update, had it installed for about 2 weeks this time. Location data is slightly better, but still placing me for long periods at spots I never visited, and missing places where I stopped for a while. Also, it runs down my battery noticeably faster than usual. I want to support contact tracing as much as possible, so I really wish this worked ... but I guess I will just continue my notebook log. Alas.

### 2/5 — Still a big battery drain

*2020-08-06, version 2.0*

I waiting awhile before downloading this app for data privacy reasons, and while I was encouraged to see the removal of location data after 20 day increments, it’s clear after only a few days of use that this app is a huge battery drain.
I typically get through the day with about 50% battery on my iPhone Xʀ after fairly typical use (web browsing, mail apps, music, etc) but I’m sitting here with 17% at 6pm. Yikes.
I want to help, but my phone won’t be much help if the battery is drained. Other apps on my phone have all day location access without the same drain, so it must be possible to tweak this app in some way so that it uses less energy.

### 4/5 — Clear notifications please

*2020-08-03, version 2.0*

Easy to use app, but it would be so nice if after you were done answering the health check questions, if it would take you out of that page and clear the notification. Right now, you have to manually clear all notifications.

### 3/5 — Not accurate.

*2020-08-03, version 2.0*

This app constantly has my home address wrong and when I visit someplace, it has the title of the store or address wrong. There is no option for me to correct these items and it’s driving me crazy. I may wind up deleting the app because it’s so inaccurate.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Records not up to date

*2023-03-17*

RI Dept of Health is not keeping the records stored in this app up to date.

### 1/5 — Dont waste your time

*2022-06-17, version 5.2*

Typical app that is more of a prop than a functional entity.

### 1/5 — This app is just another typical government screw-up. .

*2022-04-08, version 5.1*

Vaccination records are very inaccurate in this app. Do not rely on it. Refer to you card. Take it with you anb/or take a phone photo of it.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-01-18, version 5.0*

The app doesn’t work, it keeps getting stuck at “Let’s Go.”

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-01-17, version 5.0*

The app won’t let you get passed the let’s go. Probably needs an update such a joke

### 1/5 — Useless

*2022-01-16, version 5.0*

Can’t get past the “Let’s go” screen.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2022-01-08, version 5.0*

Or you can just screen shot your vax card. What a waste.

### 1/5 — Sad

*2021-12-22, version 5.0*

Really disappointed in the premise of this app. It is un-American and a disregard for freedoms. We must do better.

### 1/5 — Why not rely on IOS built-I’m covid-19 notification system?

*2020-11-27, version 2.2*

Consumes battery at an alarming rate. What benefits can the app provided if the phone can’t make it through the day? Support says 20% battery consumption is expected. That simply not acceptable when both Apple and Google collaborated on a covid-19 tracking and notification system.

Seems to me as though someone wanted to reinvent the wheel for personal gain (resume builder?) instead of tapping into another much broader system created by our top tech companies.

Missed opportunity.

### 1/5 — Kills iPhone X battery

*2020-08-19, version 2.0*

I loaded this app yesterday. Fully charged battery when I went to bed at 11:30. By 8 AM my battery was down to 48%. Prior to installing this app I would still be in the 90’s. So it is draining the battery at a ridiculously high rate

Next issue may be my misunderstanding but it doesn’t allow me to put in the name of folks I come in contact with unless I travel to see them

Seems default for how I feel should be well. And it displays the report like an up order down toggle switch. Not intuitive. How about thumbs up or down?

Had to remove it. Great concept but poorly executed

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2024-01-23*

Easy retrievals of Covid-19 vax records for me and family. I am hoping that other vaccination information can be displayed as well along with notifications for flu and other periodic or seasonal immunizations.

### 5/5 — COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination

*2021-12-21, version 5.0*

Upload successful.

### 5/5 — Easy and Convenient

*2021-12-21, version 5.0*

Like having my vaccine info in an app on my phone. No paper vaccine card needed. Lots of additional Covid info available as well

### 5/5 — New version.

*2020-09-11, version 2.1*

Seems to take too long to download

### 5/5 — Question

*2020-06-12, version 1.6*

I love the app, but I would like to see where I’ve been. Is this only visible if your location is shared if you test positive?

### 5/5 — Let’s Crush Covid, RI!

*2020-06-09, version 1.5*

I have the same suggestion as the other reviewer. It would be super helpful to have a notes section available within the app to include who you’ve seen (and where). I noticed my GPS location is a little off, so it would be great to be able to make notes. Otherwise, really great app. Easy to use.

### 5/5 — Simple and safe

*2020-05-19, version 1.0*

The app is pretty straightforward and convenient to use. I hope other folks download it and it actually proves to be an effective tool.

### 4/5 — Great idea needs some improvements

*2022-01-14, version 5.0*

I like that it keeps the vaccine record digitally. It would be helpful if you could also keep your testing record as well. As some of us have tested positive recently, that should be taken into consideration for some grace period to get the next booster.

### 4/5 — Works well, easy to use

*2020-10-30, version 2.2*

Overall, the app works well and is easy to use. I’d love to see a contact journal functionality added.

### 4/5 — Support landscape mode

*2020-09-10, version 2.1*

I have n iPad and it is in a desktop holder. By only supporting portrait mode it makes it very awkward to swivel my iPad to use this app. I usually avoid apps that don’t support landscape mode, so I usually don’t make a daily entry, because it puts extra pressure on my holder and cables.
