  • Upgraded App is a Downgrade

    I used to love this app. While I still love the theater the app updates are really bad. You can’t save your favorite theaters anymore without signing in. Once you go to the theater you want to view the ads at the top (which can’t be closed) take up half the screen so you have to continuously scroll endlessly through the bottom to see everything.

    It seems like they updated it to make it better for Harkins (ads and having to sign in) rather then better usability for the viewing public. Disappointing.

  • Impossible user interface

    As of 6/6/22 with their new update, when trying to view films and showtimes through a specific theater it is now impossible to even see the film and the times in same user space due to multiple unnecessary dedicated menus and 2 horizontal banner ads. More over, they seem to have done away with GPS tracking to identify which theaters are closest to you, which means you have to scroll through alphabetical order of your favorites or eliminate favorite theaters.

    No update is worth what was lost. It was simply and easy to find a theater a movie a show time and a seat and buy it with previous App design. This current iteration is truly awful.

  • Updated App

    I used to love the Harkins App. Updated it today & no more. I'm trying to be flexible about general change, though to be honest, I do not like the overall look at all. That, however would not be enough to prompt me to write a review, much less rate it 2 stars. It is the setup of the page with movie listings. There is so much unnecessary stuff at the top of the page, that you literally cannot see the name of a movie and it's showtimes on the screen at the same time. That is not helpful at all and makes the app nearly useless.

  • Please update

    This app isn’t horrible I’m able to buy tickets. However it is not user friendly. For example when I choose a movie time but its full so I want to go back to see the other movie times there is no back button. I have to start the search all over again and thats very frustrating please fix. Also there is no option for me to use my points on the app.

  • Great app, needs minor adjustment for iPhone 11 and newer.

    The top and bottom of the app are too close on the phones that have a notch and bottom bar. At least on the iphone 12 pro. It cuts off the Harkins logo and is hard to use the buttons. Looking at the demo images in the app store they look right, not sure if something changed.

    Also keeps logging me out. Still think it's pretty great and easy to use.

  • Good to get seats and look at movie times

    Has trailers and good if you go to Harkins like I do. My favorite theatres in my area are Harkins, so the app is all I need to look for showtimes and reserve seats. Doesn’t have reviews of movies but sometimes I don’t mind or just google.
  • Tickets

    Every single time I’v tried to buy my Tickets on this app it NEVER works. I’ve even called Harkins to see if I can just buy the Tickets over the phone and they said they don’t do that. I think that’s pretty stupid to be honest cause i’ve bought food over the phone at Pita Jungle and picked it up and there was no problem with that at all. I am in a wheelchair because I haven’t been able to walk for 4 years now so that is why I’m trying to just buy the Tickets on the app and then I have a friend that takes me to the Theater. This app is pretty stupid if you ask me. 😂😒

  • What’s the point?

    The app only allows you to buy tickets. That’s it. It doesn’t store your ticket for easy access. It doesn’t allow you to cancel the tickets, instead you have to call the theater to cancel your ticket. It emails you the ticket instead and you add it to your own wallet. Call me crazy, then what’s the point of having an app? And why are you charging a processing fee? What are you charging us for when it’s all automated or we have to store the ticket ourselves? If I had a choice, I’d rather go to AMC. This app needs an overhaul.

  • This app is pathetic and reflects how poor the company is

    This app needs soooooo many fixes and updates I don’t know where to start. How about why can’t I even find my cards in the settings to update my personal information and add my own card onto my account? Or maybe the fact when you reserve a seat and accidentally close out of the app or on the online website your seats are gone for nearly 10 minutes and you can’t reserve them again and have to hope once the clock is done ticking that no one snags your seats. The app is so slow and touch sensitive it practically only responds to you if your using 3D Touch. The app has been around for nearly 3 years and is still as terrible as it was the day they released it. If you want people to use your app, fix your bugs and make it so people can actually access their personal account FEATURES quick and easy.

  • Too complicated to get what you need

    Movie theaters opening and so excited but the app didn’t initially register that the transaction went through and that my tickets were reserved (had a pending transaction and no confirmation that I had my seats). Tickets don’t show up in the app and finally showed up in email a day later. Unfortunately I made plans because I didn’t know my seats were reserved and now there’s no easy way to request a refund. Use the AMC app as a template. Super user friendly: shows tickets for upcoming shows and can easily request a refund.
