Functionality
Overall it is a very user friendly app. In comparison to other brokerage platforms (Webull in particular) there is a large gap of sub standard tools and resources to engage in trading/ investing. If Merrill/ the application was more “up-to-date” in the sense of interaction and feel, I would be more inclined to trading day-to-day and not investing. I also use other platforms (Yahoo Finance & Webull) to research, view charts and look at updated quotes because Merrill seems to lack the tools to make these apparent.

Lying!
I have been ML customer for over ten years and have been really quite, meaning barely requesting any service in the past years. In the past two months, I asked for three services and was completely shocked by BofA, including ML! The integrity and professionals are NOTHING to all of them! 1) lying to me about their service. Told me the file was already overnighted but I never received! Two weeks later I called them and they finally overnighted. 2) hidden fees! Be cautious!!! 3) misconduct! They deposited my $100k cashier check to my other account instead of the account I instructed them to, because they felt that was the account it should go to. So if the bank feels my $100k should go to my neighbor’s account, BofA is entitled to deposit my hard earning money to someone else’s account??? Wow! Can never trust this bank anymore! Because I don’t feel safe about my money being handled by them.

Overall nice app
I like Merril’s app. The only thing I’d like to change is to select my home page when logging in. I have to go through three screens to see my holding’s performance. Other than that it is a nice app for what I use it for. For use as a trading app, I think TDAMERITRADE is better but for reviewing my holdings and long term investments this works great and looks good.

Messages on my Merrill
If you’re in the middle of a message and would like to go to the next message, it would be convenient to have a next message or a pre-VS message button available. Instead you have to close one message out go back into the messages click on the next message and a lot of times all the messages are labeled with the same title so you have to figure out which message you really want to open.

Good luck trying to change anything.
So now I can’t even order checks with the app, and can’t change my address or phone number either. I instead have to call the Merrill line, where some clearly annoyed person takes my call, puts me on hold for fifteen minutes, then chucks my call to the office of the brokers who deal with my stuff, and the person I talked to informed them of nothing, so I have to explain my situation all over again. I’ve wasted two days, and counting, on something that should have taken five minutes. This app is junk.

Outstanding app
After the last round of update, I can say this is one of the best financial apps I’ve seen. I like being able to go from banking to wealth management and seeing all accounts consolidated, even those outside of Merrill. Definitely recommend the app for iPhone and iPad.
Easy
The ML app is so simple, clear and easy to use. I have it on my iPad. I can check my balance, get the latest ML news, and email with my advisor very easily and securely. I use it almost every day. It is also convenient for sending him documents, etc.

Broken messaging
The messaging in the app is completely broken. It says no contacts when I try to reply to a message from our broker. Also can not start new message as it also says no contacts and will not let me email our broker. Extremely frustrated with this app and lack of support.
Bill pay stinks
The bill pay system is so un-user friendly. I can’t find anyway to see what payments are scheduled and a calendar of payments to be made on a calendar. Now I have the same bill being paid twice and can’t find anyway to delete or stop one from being paid.
It would be so much easier if I had a 12 month calendar showing all payments scheduled.
And I couldn’t figure out how to s schedule all of my payments for the year. I think I use to be able to do that but that feature seems to have disappeared. 😤

Info at your fingertips, check deposits
I deposited my IRS checks. Very handy. Easy to use app, all accounts available individually or summarized. Links to my BofA accounts too. My only complaint is that it can be installed on US based phones only. I suppose that’s for security, but it’s a pain when I’m abroad a lot and I use other phones.
