  • Piece of art

It's not just a game, it's an art game, soundtrack is awesome, also the graphic, so interesting, should be a nice experience for whom likes slow pace stylish games.
But for a game, it's not outstanding, the control is good, but the main part in this game is puzzle and sometimes you just don't know what to do next and how to do, there is no hint, no clue, the only thing you can do is touching and pressing everywhere, very annoying. Also the loading time between two sessions is super super slow, the slowest loading I've ever seen, 10mins or maybe longer!
So basically you can see it as an interactive art not a game, but for a puzzle adventure game, it's just ok.

  • Beautiful.

This has got to be one of the most interesting and engaging titles I've ever played through; and that includes on platforms outside of iOS.

The writing is wonderful, the music is beautiful, the art style and direction is absolutely perfect and the entire game is a fantastically crafted, surreal and intriguing experience that I'll never forget.

This game is truly something you need to experience. I was completely taken in by it's charm and I loved every last minute.

  • This is as much art as ANY painting.

Not many video games can be considered art. And many famous critics in art and cinema have no problem saying video games cannot be considered art. But in my opinion games like Shadow of The Colossus, Bioshock, Braid, and Flower are a few to name that can be stacked up in the realms of art. Superbrothers: Swords & Sworcery EP can now be placed right up there on that list of beautiful games that should be considered examples on why critics like Roger Ebert are wrong about video games not ever being able to achieve recognition as artwork.

As a side note... Headphones are a MUST for this game. Makes the experience what it is and why it is so beautiful.

  • The Truth

The truth about this app is it's disappointment. I mean, if everyone gives it five star ratings, its gotta be good. Well, the truth is that I was disappointed by this game. The story is really, really confusing. The music is on the strange side. And the graphics aren't spectacular. I just didn't get captivated by this game. Also, it is SUPER short. Before you bust your money on this, consider if it's worth it. And for those role playing game hunters out there I highly recommend Junk Jack, awesome game, and worth the money.

  • Lost for words

The heading says it all, this game is just amazing to me, every little thing about this game is perfect, i can confidently say this is my zelda on the iphone, it takes alot to immerse me into a game or story but this indie game drags you into its worlds and leaves you there and it keep dragging, the ending killed me seriously, these guy have got me tearing over a pixel girl, WHAT MORE SO YOU WANT!! This game should not be $3, and since it is BUY IT NOW you will not regret it :)

  • GOTY? I think not...

I bought this game after Gamespot and Touch Arcade both bestowed it the iOS game of the year. Although the 8-bit graphics didn't strike my fancy, I decided to spend $3 and see what all the hype was about. So I played. It was boring at first, but I knew that it was going to get better. So I continued playing. And it was still boring. I thought I was missing something until I that I was almost halfway through the game. So I deleted it from my iPod and continued by life. I can't see how on Earth this game received the critical acclaim it did, besides perhaps the whole "indie" nature of it.

Here's the game in a nutshell: you walk through the same forests, caves, and meadows over and over, touching where your character wants to (slowly….) walk. There are a handful of other "witty" characters you can talk to, but the "funny" dialogue sounds forced and becomes irritating very quickly. You solve very simple puzzles using the touch screen, most of which involve touching or swiping certain aspects of nature surrounding you in a specific order. And sometimes you get to fight, which involves you either blocking or attacking at the right time. That's it. That's the game.

The ONLY redeeming factor about S&S is the music, which is by far the best I've ever heard in an iOS game. Buy the now-available LP and don't waste your money on this sorry excuse for a game.

Thanks for reading, back to playing the REAL iOS GOTY, Infinity Blade II.

  • Don't be put off by the pixelated graphics. This is a charming, witty, creative, and original game.

Fantastic! Well worth a miniscule three dollars. And the pixelated graphics are well executed and have a certain charm that grows on you after a while. A great soundtrack, and a naked dancing boarbear thing. What more could you ask for?
  • Amazing experience

I highly enjoyed this game. Hard to describe it in a way to sufficiently express the greatness of it, so yeah; buy it, it's awesome.
  • Different - in the best possible way.

I have been playing computer games for the past 15 years so would like to think I know a little on the subject.

I've only just finished chapter 1, after months of deliberating on if I should purchase this game. So pleased I did.

If you are looking for pin sharp visuals that require no imagination then avoid and save everyone the bad review. If on the other hand you are looking for something different, something which grabs your imagination with it's pixelated visuals and superb atmospheric soundtrack buy now, you won't regret it.

  • #greatscottjustwalkingisprettycool

Finally! I've played alot of games for the iPhone but haven't ever bothered to review one until now. One of the few games I've played that departs from controlls that, given touch gamings relatively young age, shouldn't be as tired and played out as they feel- #pressonebuttontowin? Interesting gameplay lets users interact with a beautifully crafted old school meets art-piece world (i think immediately of Lucas arts point and click adventure, Loom) a catchy soundtrack, wit-soaked dialogue, and self aware humor make this game a pleasure to play through (slow as it is at times). Though not at all like Shadow of the colossus, this game has a similar #gamesthatarealsoart feel. Interesting that you can retweet dialogue to encourage social problem solving? This game has me inventing hash tags, rethinking my lack of interest in twitter and going back just to see it all again.
