  • A smart game for smart gamers

If you are looking for a game that will challenge you and your perceptions of what an iPhone game is, get this game.

This is not a game where you can play it for five minutes while waiting in line at the grocery store. You will not be chopping fruit or throwing birds.

This game will not tell you how to do everything, but it's intuitive, and if you think, you'll soon figure out what to do and it'll be that much more satisfying.

The music is so good and such an important part of the experience. Yes, this game is an experience. I play at night with headphones (you really should use headphones) in bed before I go to sleep. You'll need about 30 min for each chapter, give or take a few, depending on how slow you go. I prefer to go slow myself, to enjoy every bit this game has to offer.

This game is not for everybody, hence the negative reviews. If you like simple games or fast, intuitive action, this is not the game for you. This is a more of a dynamic, in-depth, musical experience than it is a game. Buy it!!

  • Lovin' It :D

Like so many others have said this game is so creatively and beautifully made it's incredible. Among many other games that you would find in the app store this one is a real gem.

Personally, I love art and believe that the makers of this game have so perfectly blended it into this game, making it that much more enjoyable.

The sound is really important in this game, it truly creates the atmosphere.
When you are being pursued or watched by an eerie character, eerie music starts to play, when you complete a challenge a more upbeat, cheery music begins.

But I've got to say, I love looking for and awakening the sylvan sprites, the song of sorcery is just amazing.
Over all, this is one of the best games I have ever played on any console or device. 5/5, well done.

  • Dissapointed

The game started out great. I'm very open minded about games and I loved the visuals and music. The first and second sessions reminded me of the desktop game from Card's "Ender's Game" but after the first two sessions the game loses it's magic. Halfway through the game I could only describe it as tedious and aggravating. I love puzzles, and I don't mind the slow pace, but you can't keep throwing the same crap at me and make me enjoy it just because it's now happening on the other side of a gate from where I did it the last time. Also the battles are very frustrating. Many require precise timing, but the controls frequently ignore your taps, causing you to keep trying until you get lucky, aka actually have your character do what you tell him to. And for the ignorant reviewers that call us disappointed people "unimaginative and illiterate", get over yourself, and stop pretending this game is more than it is so you can feel smart. Lol.

  • Neat concept, one of the best touch based games I've played yet

I truly enjoyed this game, and here are some caviats on that statement: I enjoy the odd occasional point and click adventure game (SSCG4AP, Sam and Max games etc). This game is in many ways like those, as discovering what to do requires some poking around the screen often. It has a relaxed pace. I reccomend it highly if you like music or brilliant sound design in your games. I found the plot stirring and the graphics delightfully nostalgic. It's not a brawler, or a turn based RPG, it's not fast paced action packed; it's simplistic and beautiful!

  • Stunned- and im 12 years old!

I wasnt going to get this because i am young and im into cod and not into old wierd games mostly reviewed by older people... Difference is, this isn't old and wierd- this is an amazing old fashioned(ish) game with fun action parts (strategetic) and some slightly annoying puzzles..... Sometimes hard but usually clever and nifty. Graphics are pretty smooth and even though they arent the best they are still like any other game once you gt used to it. Gameplay is amazing and addictive an is quite long (40 mins for 17%). Only thing is, is that so far i dont really want to go through some of them parts again because one section in pt. 1 there is a bit that is quite long winded..... So maybe not the best replay value.

Overall it is the best game on my ipod, beatin angry birds, tiny wings, fruit ninja and others that i forgot about but note that you WILL need headphones
    For the best experience!

  • A different experience

Really well thought game. Good control scheme that was obviously designed for touchscreen ( no virtual sticks here ) and all the elements mix very well together. The graphics are very nice but sometimes I wished there were more pixels onscreen
A combination of storytelling, music, puzzles and some food for thought make this more of an experience than a game.
Gets my money and five stars, let's hope there's something else coming our way.

  • Amazing but ...

If you want something to do every 3 seconds and get bored very easily you won't like it but you might anyway ... If you like sound effects music and being completely involved and into a game you will like this ... I was skeptical looking at the pictures because I like good graphics and this game is just pixels and I thought it would get annoying I was wrong its way more realistic than some other great games I have I think it's great for long trips or waiting for an appointment at the doctors
The controls are ok and walking may get tedious but the sounds and beautiful background makes up for it the puzzles are not too hard but some may be overall its a great pass time and great relaxation.

  • Fantastic.

This is, by far, the highest quality gaming experience you can get on the iPod touch. It's refreshingly simple, too. Tappidy tap to move, solve puzzles, hit things with your sword. Also, the screenshots do not do this game justice. The visuals and sounds introduced in this work of art are unreal.

Now I know people have been saying that you shouldn't get this game if you want action. This is true. It is not purely and action game.
BUT, there are a few pretty awesome fight sequences and, *shudder*, CHASE sequences involving a "Deathless Spectre who lurks beneath Mingi Taw". When you get far enough into the game, the thing appears at random, just about anywhere, and is (in my experience) much faster than you.

For the most part, though, this game is purely exploration. The puzzles aren't terribly frustrating, and are quite fun for the most part. Oh, and when you complete a puzzle, you, or at least I, feel really good. Like, REALLY freakin' good. Because they are hard. Don't get me wrong. Just not too hard.

This game is a fantastic experience that all should enjoy. So please, give it a shot.

  • Mr

Over priced. Just didn't like the game play or the look. Good sounds though.
  • Need to play this

U read reviews to get a feel of a game. But this is like nothing I have ever played. Put your head phones on and your lost in it. A truly magical game! This is the only game I felt I needed to write a review about. Well done to everyone involved in it. Can't wait to see what they come up with next!
