This game is easily one of the best games available for the iPod. If you've ever loved the old Kings Quest, Space Quest, and Homestar's "Peasant's Quest", you'll absolutely love this. There's no typing, just click where to go, and revel in the beautiful world created here. It's like playing through some kind of movie. The battle sequences are few, yes, but this game isn't about slaying hoards of monsters. It's about exploration and discovery. I particularly enjoy the music, which ads its own unique charm to an already amazing world. I can't imagine any other sound in this game that would fit half as well.
If you absolutely must have endless battles and gore, then you have been jaded and will not appreciate this piece of art one bit. As for me, I wish there were more games this well thought out as this.
    Well done, Superbrothers.

  • Crazy amazing

This game is amazing. I've never written a review before but this game moved me on a level that very few games do.
Having finished it in the last half hour, I have that same 'story hang over' feeling that you get when you watch a film that blows your mind. Worth every cent.
  • Eh!

I never knew this was Canadian, this makes me so proud and stuff.
  • Rate after first triagon achieved

I heard the audio function in this game is exceptional. It's somewhat differ from what i had expected. Yet, i thought it was raining when got out of the train one day, then i realise i have headphone on and it's raining in the game. That's how real the audio it can get to. Another good bit of it is the narrative. A bit odd, but somewhat entertaining, especially when you could hear the characters' thoughts. Also, the combat is another interesting factor. You might say 'oh yeah, oh yeah, sword and shield buttons,' but if you look deeper into it, when i fought the Golden Triagon, absolute concentration is required there. And I don't believe who could clear the fight in the first go. Those are the good things I found in the game so far. A true adventure game. You are really going into something that you have know idea where it would lead you to. Much better than those clichè apps in the same genre out there. You wait for me to mention the down points? Well, since im interested in psychology and art, i could get pass the percieved ulgy bitmap graphic. I dont know if others could. It is certainly not a game for everyone. Personally, i believe its graphic is better than Infinity Blade. You start to argue? Well, let me finish. I mean in terms of invloving your own imagination into it, and what could be more beautiful than yourselves rendering the world of adventure you are unfolding?

  • Fascinating!!!

It's an 8 bit world, but the way it is done is incredible! It's state of the art, the way the game develops..I wish that twitter thing wasn't in it, because I'm not into social groups. And also the triangle bosses are a bit hard, but I finaly BEAT THE GAME! Now I praise the game and u gotta make another one! Good stuff! Suggestion! There is a part in the game where you have the option to slay the boar or bear guy, and I think you still get the key either way...You should make it, so that if you slay the monster, then you don't get the key, because the key is very helpful! So, you should make it so that if you slay the boar or bear thing, then you don't get that key, and you pay the price, without that very helpful key!

  • Amazing

I normally don't write reviews but after playing this game for around 30min I am simply stunned. The artistry and style evident in every aspect of the game just blew me away. The 8-bit graphics give a character rarely seen and allows you to fill in the spaces, using your imagination. Its refreshing to see a game come out that isn't going for the whole "look how real i look blah blah blah" THE MUSIC, please play with headphones when you get it, because if you are on this page and thinking bout getting it than you are because you should. To view this page and not get the game would be doing you a disservice. The atmosphere and style dripping from the game envelops from the moment it starts. Please get it. You will thank me later.

  • Wow... utterly breath-taking.

It's quite difficult to give this game the full credit that it deserves, because it's a unique experience on iOS and there are few comparisons to be had with any other games. Ico and perhaps Shadow of The Colossus on the Playstation come closest, in terms of sheer atmosphere, but this title also has some really clever cultural references (I can't say much more without spoiling the surprises, but if you work in an 'Office' or like 'Extras' after your meal, you'll know what I mean).

  • Art

This is undoubtedly the finest game on the app store, and so far this year second only to portal 2 as best game so far.

The music is fantastic, the controls are good and the dialog boxes are hilarious. For me, the biggest draw are the graphics, which are beautiful and unique. In short: this is art, if you don't like it, get out.

  • Coulda Been

From now on, I'm gonna pay more attention to reviews. Before I bought this game, I was never the type to pay attention to negative reviews cuz I like to check things out myself and form my own opinion, not base it off others. However, there's a major disappointment with this game and I'm seeing how common it is. Sure, it's beautiful and has an awesome retro-mixed-with-new-tech look and it's easy and fun to play...the soundtrack would probably be amazing too IF IT WORKED!!! everything was fine when I loaded it up the first time but when I tried to come back to it later, there was NO AUDIO!? Regardless how many times I've tried to refresh the app, the audio isn't there. It's a shame because what I DID hear before this was incredibly unique :(
