  • Uniquely Artistic

this game is unlike anything before. To start with, the art and music is so unique. In a harmonious connection, these art forms completely immerse yourself in this beautiful game. The art charming and the music is magical. The gameplay element to this game is also very good. It has a nice long story line, the combat system is fun, and you really get involved in the game.
If you could, I would rate this game 8/5 stars but unfortunately their is no option for that

Note that this game is for art and music lovers and if you are not, you will not have the full experience

  • Original, inventive & captivating

I am happy to give this game 5 stars, simply for the imagination and effort visible all through it, like writing through a stick of seaside rock. In an arena of apps that are often lazy & derivative, it is bright and shiny and new. I really hope some of the teams and collaborators involved take this a step further and make another bigger game. There are certainly areas to expand: more characters and more meaningful interaction with them, broader challenges and less clues, plus different ways to defeat a foe. Make no mistake though, this is just (hopefully) constructive points for improvement and should not detract from the fact that anyone who thinks they might enjoy an innovative & delightful role-playing-style puzzler, should purchase this and get ready to enjoy a few good hours of play.

  • Amazing

    Wicked game! :)
  • All hype...

    ...no gameplay.
  • THE KILLER IOS APP

This is what gaming is all about. And to have this on a mobile phone is amazing. It really shows where the future is.

Headphones on & no distractions, you will be transported into another reality. If anyone says games can't be art, make them play this.

    More please!
  • Immersive art for the senses

This is to the iPhone what iPhone was to the mobile. Put a pair of headphones on & interact in the dark. I'm am so happy to own this on my iPhone. The graphics are a work of art, the soundtrack is incredible. This app has truly lifted the bar. Now the question begs, do I buy an iPad just for this game?

  • Truly lived up to the hype.

I honestly didn't fully know what I was buying into on purchase beyond a 8bit centric art direction and a great soundtrack. This is usually enough to take a chance for me but wow, what a engrossing gem of a game. The art style is pleasing, but the stark contrast of it's roughness with the sound that is so crisp and realistic makes it somehow more immersive, somehow??? The self aware dialogue might be dated down the line with some phrases and references but anyone weened on the current Internet age will find some fun, as well as the people used to gaming conventions. The controls can seem clunky at first, and well, of I had one minor complaint it would be that to an extent they stay a bit cumbersome (at least on the tiny screen of a iTouch) even after playing for a bit. But hardly a deal breaker for a game like this. I rarely write any reviews for games, and to give a 5 star to a game is a rarity. There are not that many games on this or any other platform that drug me in as quickly as this one. Brilliant and if you port it to any other touchscreen enabled devices I will repurchase it and can't think of a higher compliment than that.

  • Simply put, OUTSTANDING!

I was very apprehensive about purchasing this game as I don't often believe in other people's reviews, we all have individual tastes after all! However this game is truly amazing in many ways, it's ambiance sounds and impressive score, it's 80's 8 bit arcade style graphics and the story is thrilling!- just you wait till the boss and spine chilling sounds! I have never been so compelled to write a review but please for 59p if you want an adventure give this a go!

  • About time :)

Finally a real challenge for a real gamer.
  • Stunningly Simple, Simply Stunning

Wow. I rarely write reviews and even then only for the apps that are truly a cut above the rest, and needless to say, S&S is one of those apps. I am really impressed by this game and the amount of work put into it. I'm typically not a fan of pixel graphics and was skeptical at first, but after playing through the game, I can't imagine using any other type of graphic style. The music is equally good, and I'm seriously considering buying the album. The storyline was not ultra-elaborate, yet it was interesting enough for me to pay attention to it. Even the gameplay and controls are elegantly minimalistic. Each of these components on their own lead to a decent game, but when blended together in such a way create a rapturously immersive and, in a sense, primative, environment that far surpasses any game I have ever seen on a mobile device, and even many console games. No joke, its that good. This is not a cheap action game or another sit-down-and-play-for-two-minutes casual game that regrettably clutter the App Store, so if you're looking for that kind of thing, it's not here. Still, I would rather have a game like this than ten typical casual games by a long shot. S&S blurs the line between art and videogames, and what results is a beautiful, fun game that endears the player like few games can. My only comment is that it could have been longer, but there's always opportunity for a sequel.

Developers, awesome game, keep up the good work
