Love It
I love this app. I've been on holidays with plenty of free time and I've listen to so many books. The volunteers are fantastic. I love all the different voices of people around the world. It's gives so much more to the overall listeners experience.
Not bad
The interface works well enough and the downloading is virtually seamless. Not all of the audiobooks have good readers though. There is a vast range in quality; for instance one of the recordings of the jabetwocky was done by a Russian man you could barely understand who put absolutely no effort into what he was reading. On the other hand some recordings are particularly excellent, the invisible man for instance has a wonderful reader. Although, I know there are multiple versions of each book. My only complaints are a lot of the time one book is read by a multitude of people and the reviews on each book are pitifully unhelpful, but that's not even the app makers' fault. Anyway you can't really go wrong, everything is entirely free since it's all in the public domain, it's just a shame that some classics barely escaped the 1923 mark off like The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy.

Great app! Was better before the update...now respond time is slow. Please fix this.
Great book choices. You can pick up where you left off last, rewind 30 seconds with one touch of a button, or set a timer to turn off audio books after specific time intervals ( great way to fall asleep and make sure the apps doesn't keep running and eat up your battery). I wish there were newer books available (most before 1923) but I gave it five stars because it's free. Really enjoy this app. Definitely recommend anyone get it!

Update
The app updated and now fades out then the iPhone locks. I was listening to them while I work but need to lock my phone as I put it on my belt or when driving in the car it becomes dangerous having to unlock the phone all the time
Just what I wanted
Fantastic app - great way to go to sleep. Choose a book, set the timer and listen to a story as you nod off. Great selection of classics.
Haven't listened yet
When I go to email book to myself it freezes and I have to shut off my iPhone before it lets me into another screen. This discourages me from proceeding to listen to anything.

I really enjoy this app! I've been using it for months, but have just finally decided to leave a review. Recently the app has been having a few issues (the white screen mentioned in other reviews) and only playing one "chapter" at a time, with no option to have them continue without hitting play again. Especially difficult when the screen stays white and you can't get it to start at all...
The thing is, these are just bugs that haven't always been a problem, so I encourage everyone who's had problems and possibly deleted the app to reinstall and wait for an update that fixed these issues:)

Just amazing
So many books, for free! I'll be using this one for the rest of my life lol. Currently listening to Swiss Family Robinson.
Luv it but 1 caveat
I love listening when my eyes are too tired to read for themselves. A real person reads, so you get the benefit of vocal expression, which can also be a drawback as the reader's expression can vary from what your own interpretation would be. What I DON'T like is that an ad pops up between each chapter that you have to actively go in and close so that the next chapter can begin. It didn't used to be that way, and it can be inconvenient and aggravating to do so, especially if you have it set on a timer so it can read your little one (or you) to sleep.

Great, but minor flaws
Really great, I listen to audio books a lot and it's giving me a good reason to visit the classics. Slight problems are that it doesn't seem to d/l in the background or when the screen is locked, plus it seems to d/l very slowly (we have fibre optic, but each chapter takes several minutes). That means, if u want to d/l the whole book, there'll be a lot of "keeping the app awake by tapping it every so often" while you wait.
