Great app!
This is a very enjoyable addition to my phone. If I had any complaints at all it'd be about some of the readers. I know these books are read by volunteers but maybe a little screening couldn't hurt. For instance, the reader for Moby Dick is excellent. The voice and enunciation are just right for audio books. But the reader for Sherlock Holmes, not so much. In fact I couldn't even listen to it. Which is a shame because the Sherlock Holmes stories are among my all time favorites. Other than that little inconsistency, great free app! Thank you for providing it.

Great concept, but version has bugs galore!
I've been using this version for about a week. I like the ability to download over 3G and listen to my books while driving. However, I've had audio stop midway though the chapter for no reason, and the ads in the app fail to load and lock the app into a white screen. I'm currently in a white screen now while trying to load The Oregon Trail audiobook. I can forcequit the app, but it still locks up when going to books because of the way the ads are sctructured in the app. :-/

Book review
I have listened to a few of your recordings- one of the readers throughout most of the reading sounds like he actually is nursing a cold. I have to say that on the other hand most of the readers have refined qualities of diction and pronunciation. Also its very pleasant to hear a British voice going over some these old lines because of the tonal differences, it sounds like I stepped into Oxford for a brief moment. Some of the female readers are very clear and precise in pronunciation. Very much adhering to the written word. Wonderful experience all around. I wish that some readers would inject a little emotion into the words while it's not necessary to become effusive. Thanks again-

Wonderful... No negative experiences
Reading some of the more negative reviews here, I expected this to be your typical "free" app -- reasonably ok but not great. Well I don't know how this negative review experiences happened. This app is GREAT. Wonderful selection, good readers, relatively easy user interface... this is my first time trying out audiobooks on my phone and I couldn't be happier! Thank you Audiobooks for sharing such a value-full app for free with all of us.

Best app 4 skool!!!!!!!!
I am assigned a lot of novels 2 read for h.w in skool and my first one was the prince and the pauper so I just downloaded this app and first of all it took pretty quick 2 load compared 2 other audio book apps and the voice is really clear!! I luv it it makes h.w. Soooo much easier 4 me... U can either just listen 2 it and do other things at once or just listen and follow along!!! It rox I advise anyone 2 get this!!!! I rate this app 5 star!!!! Enjoy!!!!

Some of the narraters are good but others are dull or not fluent but as this is a free app with a good historical variety of genres and authors that does not require a wifi connection to download the audio books I give this five stars. The timer enables me to listen as an aid to falling asleep.
I'd like to see more titles of a medical genre, biblical and autobiographies/biographies please. Could also be improved by adding a brief summary of what each audio book is about.
Great mostly for adults but some titles of interest for children.
A brilliant app for those in hospital or the visually impaired.
