Need ability to disable auto join

Adding the exception list clears the big problem. It is still a bit rough getting online in some networks. The "An iPass network" indicator is only 70% reliable, so you have to figure out whether you need to add exceptions. Also, adding exceptions cloud be easier -- show a list of available networks (plus a network currently associated, if it doesn't advertise the SSID) and allow to to select, in addition to the text input.

iPass is vey handy, and the app helps, once you learn it's quirks. Still not quite easy to use.

Very bad annoying

This app makes it so much harder to connect to free wifi offered by hotel, airport, etc that has ipass designation even your hotel rate include internet. As an example: attwifi. It is very frustrating that you have to login and logout through ipass then it will allow you to logon to the logon page. On top of that it always disconnect and makes your connection unstable. The only solution is to uninstall and cancel your membership. Go with other services.

So near, yet so far

What a let down, this was iPass's time to shine but again another missed opportunity.

Doesn't work, instructions unclear

I'm willing to admit I may not be the most tech savvy person, but went through activation without a hitch. Now what? Have tried everything I know to try and connect, disabled cellular data to force device to connect to wifi. Still nothing. Have had iPhone apps for couple of weeks and now trying iPad app. Still to this day have not connected to one network. Searched the website for help and nothing. Very confusing app. I just don't get it.

Using ipass on free networks

I am unable to join a free network (McDonald's for example) without using ipass. ipass takes ownership of the device and the only way to join the network is through ipass. That seems a bit unfair to force us to use ipass for a free network and the time spent on the network goes against our monthly allotment of hours to be used on ipass. Please fix this functionality.

Note from iPass

Just a quick note from us at iPass. We have heard from some of you regarding the latest version of iPass Open Mobile preventing you from connecting to certain networks on your own. We recognize the urgency of the issue and are working to getting this matter fixed soon.

iPass

Blocks Free WiFi

I really like the fact that it shows a iPass Network in the Settings->WiFi. However, if that network is free, I can't log onto it. For example, at the Delta Sky Club in Seattle, they use TMobile. Well, that is an iPass Network. Somehow, iPass hijacks my WiFi and I can't do the free login. The same thing happened in Boston Sky Club and a Residence Inn in Westford. I had to delete it off my phone to connect to the free WiFi locations. Once, using the app, did connect but I wasn't sure I was paying for a free connection. The other times I tried to use the app to connect at a free spot (including a Starbucks in Mill Creek, WA) the app had a failed to login message. Makes it kind of useless when it hijacks regular WiFi. (iPhone 5, iOS 6.02)

Latest update just crashes as soon as its opened!

Do iPass employee any software testers?

Gps doesn't turn off

When I close the app in the multitask, it should turn off the gps. Currently it stays on. please fix this because it is a huge battery drainer. I end up having to turn off the location feature under settings.

If I could give it zero stars I would

This App ate 90% of my battery in 5 hours while the iPad was in my bag! Turn off locations who knows what it's doing! Shocking lack of testing iPass!
