  • Total failure of payment gateway

I must have tried to book my tickets 15 times with my US card, failure each time. I have had to borrow money from a friend’s card to pay for these stupid tickets. Simply terrible. And bad customer service too, slow to reply pond and useless when they do.
  • Facture en double

J’ai été facturé 2 fois pour un même trajet et j’écris mais personne ne me répond, alors faites attention lorsque que vous réservez en ligne
  • Lacking current seat assignments

While the app works great for bookings and selection of seats during booking, if they change your seats because of an equipment change the app shows your original seat selection

This was a problem because during check in at the station, the new receipt only printed on half the paper This meant you couldn’t read the new car or seat number. The station equipment issue isn’t a problem the app can fix but the app should have reflected the new car/seat assignments
Had to track down a station attendant for assistance

Fix this issue and 5 stars

  • Extremely bad service in station

The last 3 times I took Eurostar, the service in station was horrid. Extremely badly organized, in Paris the staff was overwhelmed and sending randomly people to different queues resulting in waiting longer that people that arrived after. On top of that my seat was changed, I was next to 3 families, the kids were screaming all along and the rude parents did not tell them to be quiet. I was supposed to work but it was impossible, I had a massive headache when I went out of the train. I truly don’t understand why there aren’t wagons specific for families. It’s the 3rd time that I am living an absolute nightmare. Let along the fact that I was systematically seated in the old wagons which are way less comfortable than the new ones. I am super disappointed with this service.

  • Train delay

After being told that we would receive compensation for train delay of over an hour and thirty minutes many emails later still no contact from Eurostar terrible service would not recommend
  • Arrogant boarder officer

Yesterday I returned from Paris to England where I have lived for seven years. At 11:00, I went through passport control. I have a European Union passport with a chip and my settle status in the UK is recorded there, I have been using the passport during my visits to Prague (flying) for many years and I have never had a problem with check-in. Yesterday I got to the front of a French customs officer who from the first moment behaved absolutely arrogant, obviously bored with his job and when he told me that I had changed my shape and my passport was not mine, I was in shock. After seeing the photo, his colleague did not agree with him and confirmed my appearance. Nevertheless, the customs officer threatened to detain me and told me that I would probably need a lawyer. As I tried to deal with the situation with a slight smile, he began to behave even more arrogant. My husband and his colleague stood up for me, so in the end he let me continue to check the scan where I passed without any difficulty. However, the train has already passed us, fortunately Eurostar issued tickets for the next train at 12:13. However, he was one hour late, so we did not have time to get paid by bus to Plymouth. Paris was beautiful, but the customs officer should be broken immediately, because it is possible for his behavior to ruin the holidays of many people. I will probably only warn everyone before visiting Paris.

  • Massive constant delays : Zero star

I have been travelling every week the past 2 months and I have never encounter such a disorganisation and mess and delays that I have encounter the past 2 months. The prices have increased, but you don’t arrive on time, every week they change the trains so your reserved seat will be changed for you including couples being separated. They don’t even offer anymore a selection of decent magazines. Being a frequent traveller and using business class it is unacceptable and everytime they come up with an excuse.
If not the weather, then the train is broken or not enough staff at the border to check the passports. When you pay £500 for a ticket it is unacceptable. My advice: take the plane while you might encounter delays you won’t pay as much for a ticket....

  • Unable to contact

I had changed my destination location and the agent from Eurostar stated they would email a voucher for this trip. They did not do this and I have tried emailing Eurostar multiple times and they never respond. They encourage you to do everything on the internet but their website does not make it possible. Very poor customer service.

  • App Worked, Computer Didn’t

I tried to book online and I pressed the buy now button and nothing registered. I uploaded the app to my phone and the tickets came through to my email perfectly. I highly recommend the app.
  • Quizz

Today at 9:36 ended a fun initiative of three Eurostar employees in the waiting lobby behind the Business Premier Lounge in St-Pancras: they initiated a 5 questions quizz and invited all to participate. I have never seen this and applause with 4 hands this fun initiative. I think that they deserve a good word and a star in their employees file. I do not know their names but they are three women aged something in their 30’s and possibly 40’s and were working (as mentioned) in the (new) waiting area located behind the Business Premier Lounge in the morning, and in particular at around 9:15 to 9:45. I hope you will encourage them and others to continue spreading joy and fun around them this way with their bubbling personality and communicating smiles.
