My Eurostar Train to Paris tomorrow was cancelled due to strikes in France.
Low and behold a huge problem was encountered as huge disruptions to moving forward bookings and schedules and more so EURAIL has encountered heaps of travellers in the same situation today.
However I promptly visited the Eurostar at Pancras Station and amazingly the lady who helped our family was so caring and calm and promptly booked us on to a train tomorrow afternoon and wished us well.
Now that is exceptional Customer Service!
Will have to spread the news when we get back to Melbourne Australia !!!!!

Prob just better to take the airplane. Thought this would be a nice change but was I wrong. There is “no electricity” and we were waiting outside Rotterdam. Would not take the Eurostar again. Please just book a flight at least they can change you to another plane if one is cancelled... we were just stuck sitting on the tracks...Show lesskevinbusa

I’ve had a really negative experience with Eurostar.
I tried to book a Standard Premium seat reservation, but got an error. I was told I could not book that with my Eurail second class pass. Nowhere was it specified that this was the case; in fact, they offered me to upgrade from the Standard res! Deceptive. I changed plans and STILL could not book my reservation. As a solo traveler, if I cannot book on mobile, Eurostar’s service is absolutely useless and shameful. I’m extremely disappointed in these operators.
Further, I’ve already ridden on a Eurostar train two days ago and I felt it was pretentious, overpriced, and a hassle.
