I get a frequent notice that I don’t have the right dictionary installed. Subsequently I get no definition for no brainer words that ought to be in the/any dictionary.
In addition, weird ratio vowels to consonants.Pegpacker

It should be possible to get definitions for most words. I provide two ways of looking up definitions in the app: (1) using the dictionary that Apple provide in iOS; (2) searching Google's dictionary. Each of those dictionaries have a lot of words, but not all, which is why I offer both options. If you're not getting any definitions at all from the iOS built-in dictionary, it may be because you've never activated the built-in dictionary. To do that, tap a word in my app and select 'Definition'. Then on the next page (that will say 'No definition found') tap the 'Manage' button in the bottom left corner. Then tap the 'cloud' icon next to an English dictionary. That should install an English dictionary that will provide the definitions in my app. It won't have every definition, but it should have fairly decent coverage, with the option to search on Google for the more obscure words.
