Where is my older magazine?
I bought an issue of Esquire UK (March 2012) with Daniel Radcliffe on the cover several years ago. Now I find out issues older than 12 months are no longer available. Are you kidding me? I paid money for this issue. Let me repeat: I PAID MONEY FOR THIS ISSUE. It should be mine and I should have access to it. This is nothing short of thievery!

Thanks for stealing my money Esquire UK!
Purchased one copy of this magazine in which Rihanna appeared last year. I didn't think to check that the issue would be there when I upgraded. I figured, I paid for it, it will be there. Come to find out, it's not. There is no way to restore it either since with the new upgrade you can't restore issues that are more than 12 months old. So basically I rented an issue when I thought I had purchased it. Not happy.

Not iPhone-friendly
App is not iPhone-friendly. The content is not formatted for small screens.
Lost Issues
I never write reviews but I had to on this because it deals with some shady workings. Basically I bought a bunch of issues about a year ago - after updating the app I no longer have access to those issues. My advice is this - tread lightly if you expect to have continued access to any content you purchase with this app.

Appalling app
The app seems very poor constantly switching off, and even on occasion selecting the wrong magazine.
What makes the app really poor is that for the enhanced version it only operates in landscape format, when the magazine is clearly in portrait format.
There seems to be no way of changing this.
This means that you get two small pages to look at, which you can't easily enlarge, instead of being able to use the portrait mode of the iPad as you would expect to.
Alarmingly, the standard version of the magazine plays better in the app than the enhanced version, allowing viewing in portrait mode as well as landscape mode, resisting of images, etc. which the enhanced version doesn't.

Okay
Decent magazine. Not nearly worth 4.99 an issue or 40 a year. What a ridiculous price.
Unpleasant App.
I'm sure the magazine is great. And from what I've seen I'm really interested.
My problem is that I bought an issue for Β£2.99, and I can't view it. Apart from anything else there's no image scaling, resulting in all the images having a lot of unpleasant jagged edges and looking bad. But the main problem is that when you are just viewing an issue, the app crashes. It does it every time.
Fix this. It's ridiculous.

Awful!!!
Terrible app. I love esquire magazine but clearly they are not interested in a digital version of their magazine. The subscription cost is high and the digital version comes out almost a week (sometimes longer) after the paper version. It took 3 days to actually be able to view the magazine when I did download it (all I got we're black pages). I also download GQ magazine and this is much better! Perhaps Esquire should contact another digital publisher as the current one is awful. I have the same issue with men's health magazine, which uses the same digital publisher as Esquire.

Can't read anything
And by read I mean looking at Messi's pics. Bought it exclusively for that.
