The latest version of the app crashes when I try to open it
Since the above comments, which were made approx a year ago I have upgraded my iPad and the developer has continued to upgrade the app. Now, I do not encounter the same problems that I did in the past.
Response from developer
This is not true. The App does not crash at any time. Apple does not approve Apps that crash in the first place. This user had bad intentions to affect the App's rating and reputation through a false review.
Lost inventory
Response from developer
Ignore this user. False review. App works just fine.
No clue
I bought it for the barcode abs all it does is take you (eventually) to a google page.
I cannot work out how to add my wine. Have wasted more than an hour with nothing achieved. I give up.
Response from developer
Another user trying to affect the App's rating in negative/false way. 1) Description of the App clearly states that the barcode scanner will only offer browser/UPS results of the scanned wine. 2) The user seems to be the only person not see the "+" (plus) icon to add wines on the corner. 3) Clearly, the user intention to buy the App was to post a negative 1 star review.
Nice start but needs to follow through
The scanner did not return results on ANY bottles in my collection. Ok, perhaps the info just isn't out there....
The 'share between devices' turns out to be a manual download of the database into iTunes and then a copy to new device. This doesn't even work when your iTunes is on a PC!
I like a number of features of the app but I can't rate it any higher when my info is basically isolated to just my phone! I'd like to be able to share and save my information. This should be an iCloud function or airdrop. It should be easy!
Response from developer
The user never read the App's description, barcode scanner will offer browser/UPS results about the scanned wine. The barcode scanner database has nothing to do with Winebook. The share between devices is now in the Cloud and syncs perfectly, including the inventory. The migration of old data is manual and easy to follow using the provided instruction link. iTunes in PC also has nothing to do Winebook (ask Apple). User states that iCloud does not work which is a completely false statement.
Hopeless
It only scans the barcode and let's you search for the barcode on Google - but not import the details of the wine automatically!
You cannot search a database of wines either. So it's just manually add your wines and there are better free apps that do this.
Don't bother
Horrible
Response from developer
Ignore this moron. Probably hasn't spend a dollar in an App.
