App /subscription issues
I really enjoy reading the hard copy of the mag and have also downloaded some editions on iPad. I thought the subscription would be good so signed up......however so far I am just out of pocket!
No subscription editions have been made available to me. The edition showing as the latest one on the app is 2 editions out of date. My email to the App developer has also gone unanswered.
Very disappointed.

OMG
I love having The Friend available to read on my IPad and also love being able to keep old editions without turning my home into a hoarders paradise but oh the frustrations of the app! Each week I'm notified that a new edition is available for download and each week, on checking it's not there! I usually wait till the following day more in hope than anticipation and then I have to go through the rigmarole of uninstalling and reinstalling the app, often more then once until eventually the edition appears. I'm not sure where the fault lies, but it regularly spoils an event which should be quite simple! Any help out there?

Bought one magazine after downloading and installing the app and then NOTHING....Thought this app was going to be great but I am so disappointed especially as I have cancelled my paper subscription because I thought the on line version was going to be good..The app simply isn,t working... OK after a lot of stuffing about I deleted and redownloaded about 4 times until finally problem solved...Everything is now GREAT..I love it..Sal37

Stick to the print version if you want to read the latest editions.

Enjoyed last peoples friend on the iPad 2. Went to download this weeks edition but unable to find it. It says clearly that we can purchase it each week without subscription but how? I can't find it.

I love The People but find the format in the app not as easy to read as my books on the iPad2. It really needs to be put into a better format rather than just a pdf format that you zoom into. It would be better if each story has a full page of text not in columns like the paper version. I shall probably stay with the paper version unless the format is changed.

Love the magazine, hate the speed
I love the magazine but the issues stopped arriving even though I have a subscription. The Friend people say no-one else has complained and it must be apple's fault. Got the feeling they weren't interested!
