Well... It's a start. I'll say that I am slowly becoming a REAL FAN of meraki, but I wish there was an iOS app to MANAGE system manager networks. This app is for iOS devices MANAGED by system manager.
That said, GPS location and direct push messages to your managed devices is pretty cool, but unfortunately I can't use it. BECAUSE: it has a fatal flaw. It leaves location services on all the time. This will KILL your device battery, and is not worth unleashing on poor unsuspecting users.
This app MUST come up with a reasonable poking frequency that it uses to monitor location. Default checking once every hour might be ok. With the option for admins to change it via the system manager policy.
Until this is implemented, you would be crazy to push this to your users, since location services - always on - is the default behavior.
Hope this gets fixed.
