## What is 478 Breath?

478 Breath is a minimalist guided breathing app that pairs the classic 4-7-8
technique with your Apple Health heart rate variability (HRV) data — so you
don't just practice, you see the effect.

— A breathing nebula —
No rigid expanding circle. The home screen is a living nebula that gently
pulses at your recent breathing rate, its color shifting with today's HRV.
Inhale, hold, and exhale along with it.

— Multiple rhythms —
4-7-8 (classic calm), 4-4-6 (beginner), 4-8-8 (longer hold), 4-8-10 (deepest
relaxation). Set any length from 1 to 30 minutes, with voice guidance that
follows your system language.

— See your change —
With Apple Watch, the app reads your HRV before and after a session and charts
your trend across Today, 30 days, 12 months, and beyond — real data to keep
you going.

— Privacy first —
Everything stays on your device. No account, no ads, no third-party tracking.
None of your data ever leaves your iPhone.

478 Breath is for relaxation and personal wellness only and is not medical advice.

— 478 Breath Premium (optional subscription) —
Unlocks all breathing rhythms, sessions beyond 10 minutes or unlimited, all
ambient soundscapes, and adaptive HRV alerts.
US$0.99/month or US$9.99/year. Eligible new subscribers may receive a 1-month free trial; prices may vary by
region. The yearly plan costs less than paying monthly — the paywall shows
exactly how much you save in your region. Payment is charged to your Apple
account; subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours
before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in App Store settings.

Pick your voice

Settings now has a Voice row: choose which voice reads the Inhale / Hold / Exhale cues. Every option has a preview button, so you can hear one before you pick it. Which voices appear depends on what's installed on your device.

Also in this update
• Fixed a click at the start of every spoken cue on iOS 27.
• Starting a session no longer stutters for a moment.
• The sources on the HRV Insights screen read more cleanly.
