Disappointing and Not Worth the Purchase
The question database was very small, and the same questions were repeated over and over during both practice sessions and mock tests. There was no real variety or depth, which left me feeling unprepared. I barely passed my exam using my common sense rather than the app's content, and I really regret purchasing the in-app upgrade—it’s absolutely not worth the money.
If you're looking for comprehensive motorcycle theory test prep, I would recommend looking elsewhere. This app simply doesn't provide the level of content or detail necessary to properly prepare for the exam.
Either App timing errors or Hazard Awareness errors?
1: 2 women visible waking on a side street, zero points when they are first visible (yet in the road and not looking), but a few frames later (no change in salient information, and full marks
2: approaching lorry in outer lane of the opposite side of the dual carriageway (approaching a gap), clearly angled towards the gap and zero points… a few frames later (still time for them to stop before entering your carriageway) and you get maximum points….
So frustrating, without tapping lots (for no real change in the hazard just to game the timing of where the marks become available )…. Which if this is just the app problem, could lead to over clicking habits in the actual test.
Also the video quality is poor in some cases, or at least on a phone screen.
Paid for Platinum but everything locked again in under 12 hours!
Can only give it 1 Star at present due to the issues I’ve experienced in less than 24hours of purchase
Good app but don’t rely on it completely
The videos are NOT the videos you will see in the test, not even similar. I didn’t find a single one on the actual test and I went through every video they have on the app.
The questions will not be the same either, but at least they will be very very close. I was able to cast the videos to my TV and use my phone as a mouse and I found that very effective.
Try elsewhere!
Great app. Could be better but definitely helped me pass the test
The only thing I didn’t like so much was often getting the same questions over and over again, and then when it came to the actual test I was getting many questions I hadn’t seen before. I think the app developers have done a great job but it would be cool to have it so there were more of a breadth of questions (unless I’ve missed a setting in the app of course!)
Also liked the way you can practice on specific headings like alertness etc.
All in all a great app and would totally recommend it - I ended up getting 49/50 on the test and several questions I had correct as a direct result from using the app 👍
Response from developer
Hello. We have checked the app and everything seems fine, which suggests this could be an issue with the settings you're using. For help you can contact our UK-based support team at support@deepriverdev.co.uk.
Mock test absolutely brilliant, HP doesn’t work at all and tried emailing last week, no reply
But
The hazard perception doesn’t work at all, considering I paid for the best one I’m very disappointed and anxious because I’ve got my test tomorrow and haven’t really had the chance to practise the HP because this isn’t working…
I emailed them straight away but haven’t had a response back. It’s such a shame because the theory side is fantastic, just feel a bit let down.
I’ve got the recent iPhone and everything is up to date on it so I doubt it’s my end

Don’t worry, you’ll never be charged for something you can't use. Please note, you must remain connected to WIFI and not leave the app to download the videos. If you’re still having problems, please contact our UK-based support team at support@deepriverdev.co.uk. We’ll do everything we can to help you solve the problem or arrange a full refund.
Pass first time.
I used the coach mode more than anything else and also picked 14 hazard perception videos at random, every day, to simulate a test. After just one week, spending around an hour a day, I was passing the mock theory test, every time and passing my simulated hazard perception training.
I took my real test today at a DVSA centre and passed first time.
I definitely wouldn’t have done it, without the App. I would recommend to anyone looking at doing their bike licence.
For the price, its very much worth it
On a phone the hazard perception can be a little dodgy with small things in the distance (like lights), but otherwise is solid.
It has an endless coaching mode which runs you through questions until you get them correct twice in a row, so you can make sure to get all the questions rather than just the same ones from the mock exam.
Really good app
As with many of the negative reviews I had the issue with the hazard perception video. They seem to take a while to download so I closed the app and did something else... this is where it goes wrong.
Contacted support who responded within hours and rectified the problem.

Please try the following:
1) Delete the App and reinstall from iTunes. You won’t be charged again, providing you’re logged into the same iTunes account.
2) Go to the Practice section and click on any of the locked topics
3) On the payment screen that follows, click on “Restore purchases”
4) The questions and videos should then begin downloading. Please stay connected to WIFI and within the app as the iPhone will kill the download if you leave.
Would have been 5* if it wasn’t for this. Feels like it could be avoided by having a simple popup saying “don’t close the app during download”.
It’s disappointing to have a really good free trial and then for it to stop working the moment you have paid for it.
Apart from that it’s a really good app. Confident it will help me pass my theory.
