Have only done level 1am far but my 4 yr old really enjoyed it and was able to recognise the letters and read the words after a session playing.
Love it...want more lessons added please!
My 5 year old loved this app. Please expand...add more lessons! I had a hard time trying to get my child to want to learn to spell/read...then I found this app. It kept her interested and wanting to complete the lessons that she did all of 5 lessons quick. Please add more lessons!!!
Great Program for Emerging Readers
As a psychologist who specializes in assessing and treating children with reading disabilities, I am frequently in a position to evaluate different programs to help develop children's skills. Many of them fail to deliver or are not well grounded in theory and/or research. Reading Raven has both theory and research behind its development and it also has educators behind the program with years of experience in developing children's emerging literacy skills.
If you are looking for a great iPad program for children's early, emerging skills, this is one I would recommend.

This app is awesome! Both my child and I loved it!
Finally a good educational game!
My 4 year old son loves this, hes even replaced this with his usual bedtime story book. Very educational and fun at the same time. Clear instructions and easy for young ones to understand and lots Of activities to choose from. Recommend.
Fantastic!
My four-year-old son absolutely loves this game, and I have no issue at all with him playing on it as I can see an improvement in his letter recognition and formation in just a number of days. It has such a variety of activities that he stays focused when playing for some time. He particularly loves the feature which enables him to record his own voice practicing certain words, and then listen to himself back!

Brilliant game
This is a great game and my children love it. The only negative Is that it does not have separate profiles for multiple children.
The best phonics-based reading app I have found so far.
This app is a dream come true. It is methodical, creative, and has exactly the right amount of repetition. It moves smoothly through early phonics concepts in such an engaging way. There is absolutely nothing I would improve. I have searched for the perfect "learn to read" app for months, and this is the first one that fits completely with our needs. I am so thankful. It would be worth twice or three times the $4 I paid.

First class!!
Without a doubt this has got to be one of the best reading apps available on the iPad. It's particularly important to note that this application uses 'phonics' to teach youngsters to read which is the same system used by our child's school - something to bear in mind when choosing an app as the last thing you want to do is confuse your youngsters and undermine the teacher's efforts.
One of the great things about this application is it's sheer diversity, it's very colourful, well animated and there is always something exciting happening on screen which really help engage the kids. The other really nice feature is that in addition to learning to read it also helps kids learn to write by using their finger to trace the letters making up each word.
Well worth the money.

My 5yo is reading
My 5yo is reading thanks to this app! She has never once been frustrated by the app and has been able to do it without help from me (essential for long car rides)! She has learned so much and is putting sounds together and starting to read! I can't wait for this developer to come out with more apps, great work! (I rarely write app reviews, that's how happy I am with this app).
