  • Good

Good app so far. Can I suggest an improvement to the editing of verses. We should be able to delete verses by simply swiping to the left or so; this is possible for almost all apps on IPhone. I say this because I've learned to my annoyance that I have to go through 4 steps to delete verses (60+) I downloaded to the my verse section by mistake; and had to delete individually (not very efficient).

  • Great app

I was skeptical that memorizing verses via typing would help me really learn these verses. However, I'm happy to report that this app really works for me. I've practiced verses both in the mobile app (typing just the first letters of words) and back at the computer (typing out full words). They give me enough of a foundation that I can get the verses completely memorized by recital soon afterward. Perhaps just as important is that this app has helped me make a bit better use of my time when I have just a few minutes to spare between other activities. Rather than browsing the web or launching a game, this app has been a nice alternative.

  • Excellent scripture memory app

    Some features I particularly like:
-vibration instantly signaling a mistake during the memory exercises--instant feedback.
-the pop-up notifications that remind you to study verses you are less familiar with (the more times you successfully type a verse, the less frequently it will come up for review in the future).
-auto-splitting up of longer sections of text into verses.
-having to only type the first letter of each word--makes much more efficient (you can type the whole word if you want--just change the settings).
-the whole 3 part training process.

Some features that could use improvement:
-when you enter two verses in, it does not auto split them. Not sure how many you have to have for auto split to work.
-when I tried to change some of the text manually (for instance, increase a dash from one "-" to "--") it unaligned the whole verse from the red text in the back. Had to delete and re-add the verse. (And this is a small thing, but it would be great to have a longer dash mark.)

This app is also very good for memorizing other things, like lines from a script, if you use the audio-recording feature with auto-repeat and speed up.

Overall, very pleased to spend 10$ on purchase, especially after using the trial, which is very effective.

  • Finally, A tool to help me keep The Word in my Heart

I don't know about you, but I have memorized Scripture in the past, only to forget it within a month. Well, Scripture Writer has figured out what is needed. It seems that the more accurately I can quote the verse determines the next time I need to review it, so I don't have to review 20 scriptures in one day to keep them in my heart, nor do I need to set a reminder for a particular verse. Scripture Writer does all of that for me.

Now I will admit, I first thought it odd and a waste of time to have 3 levels of memorization. But now that I have used it on several verses, I can't see a better way to memorize the Word of God.

What is really amazing is that now that Scripture is "staying"in my heart and mind, I'm able to spend more time understanding what the LORD wants me to gleam from His word for my life. Radically changed my life, and I needed to change. I hope you enjoy this life changing app as much as I have.

  • Best Bible Memory App Hands Down

I have tried almost all of the Bible memory apps out there and this is the one that has worked for me. It doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles but it is the only one that I've found that really gets the job done of helping you memorize verses. I've used it extensively for the last several years. It works very well when memorizing longer passages of scripture and lets you review a verse, section or the whole chapter.

The developer is also very responsive when I've posed questions or problems.

Also this is the ONLY bible memory app that I'm aware of that has an online interface and SYNCS your verses between multiple devices.

  • All I could ask for in a scripture app

Memorising scripture is so easy with this application that I use it almost every day. Thank you for all the hard work you have put into this.
  • Scripture Typer

    Great app. A++
This has been a massive help for me to keep the word of God close to mind. A very easy method for remembering and reviewing scripture.
Glory to God for your good work.

    Cheers

  • Great app

Highly recommended app easy to work with. I would like to see a function that I can work on the that specific difficult verse that can make that verse line up with the reviews of the other verses in that chapter and after the whole chapter is equal it be comes a folder with all the verses of that chapter come up for review at the same times so when revising the chapter you have them all lined up without missing a verse that will need to be reviewed a few days later!
But it still is a great app! Blessing from above!

  • Keep Your Memorized Verses Current

Scripture Typer has a lot of great feature, but my favorite is the flexible review feature. Before ST I would be frustrated because I could not keep verses I had memorized current. I forgot the. As fast as I learned new ones. ST has a progressive review schedule that allows the review period to get longer as you demonstrate mastery. If you do struggle with an old verse, you can easily reset to more frequent review. Recently I was in a Bible study where we were memorizing a passage. I locked each verse on "Daily" until I had mastered the entire passage. Before ST I struggled to keep 5 verses current. With ST I have a catalog of over 100 verses current. This really is helpful as you seek to counsel Biblically.

  • Simple but powerful verse memorisation

In one week my verse memorisation progress was rejuvenated. A great feature is the ability to check you know every single word correctly by typing in the first letter of each word. This is almost as fast as typing, but is more accountable and accurate than just trying to check myself without looking at printed verse cards. Adding new verses with automatic importing from the Internet is quick and straightforward. The tips and hints for first users are superb. The points system is a good encouragement (although our main motive for memorisation should be to have God's Word readily accessible to meditate upon and share with others). Great work app developers!
