  • Membership Malfunction

I do really enjoy the app but since my old phone broke I have not been able to access my account on another app.

The website has my saved verses but the app does not and tells me I need to upgrade when I have already bought the full version.
  • Best I have seen for scripture memorization

I have the paid version so my review applies to this. Pretty comprehensive. It allows you to import just about all the major translations. You can vary the frequency of your review for each scripture. You can edit the scripture to just the portion you want to memorize. You can sub categorize. It is points based so you get a little incentive for your memorization. There are groups you can join. It has a settings function to change variables such as how much accuracy is passing example 80% 90% 100% There is a beep notification for mistakes if you desire. You can choose between typing the entire scripture or just the first letter. Overall a thoughtfully planned and useful tool for memorization. It has been an immense help. I use it several times a day and never get tired or discouraged.

  • Great app

Really love the app but wish it had more versions to memorise from (I.e. NASB2020). Currently appears limited to 5 versions.
  • Fantastic app for learning scripture

This has been an invaluable tool for me in my quest to go deeper into the word of God and build it into my daily life. The format ha doesn’t I have memorised scripture in an easy and consistent way that I would not have been able to otherwise (I am not a natural memoriser). This is a great tool and I would highly recommend for new and experienced Christians alike. An improvement would be to add an option to be able to learn a catechism like the Westminster or Heidelberg ones (or even better, a new version like the new city catechism). Thanks

  • Probably the Best Bible Memory Tool Out There

I am quite a fan of this app. Easy to import verses. Good startup program for new verses. Good spaced repetition for verses you have already learned.

I wish the developer would keep adding to it though. It would be nice if they created a flash card module. It could be called “Keyphrase Cards” or something. You know how you will know the “idea” of a verse but not know the verse reference itself? Even if you have memorized the verse you can’t get it to mind.

For instance… someone could be telling you how you shouldn’t judge anyone at all for anything…but you know Jesus said to “judge with righteous judgement” somewhere. But where? Even if you memorized the verse when in that situation…you don’t know where it is. If you could create Keyphrase flash cards though you could overcome this problem. You would train your mind that “judge with righteous judgement” is John 7:24. Then, if you memorized that verse…you could quote it.

Hopefully this kind of functionality will be added in future versions.

  • Great way to memorize scripture!

Years ago when I was being discipled, my friend and mentor recommended this app, which back then it was called Scripture Typer. A great way to memorize scripture.

I have since shown it to the men that I have had the opportunity to disciple, and several have used it. I have learned to memorize scripture various ways since, and rarely use the type method, on this app, but having the flash card capability is awesome, as you review daily.

I like the way that you can adjust the repetition for verses that you know well and those that you don’t. You can set up new verses to review daily, but verses that you know well you can review weekly, bi weekly, every month, etc….. great app, great tool!!

  • Grandpa

I use this app every day. It is such a blessing to remind myself of all God’s wonderful truths and promises every day. I had memorised so many verses when I was younger, and I was forgetting them, but by using this app I find God speaks to me every day as I review them. I find it so helpful when I preach and share the love of Jesus with people I meet.

  • Excellent—I use it every day!

I’m so thankful to have discovered the website and then the app (the free version is great as long as you add verses from a desktop). I use it every day, and it has helped me store up over 2,000 verses in my heart “that I might not sin against God.” It’s helpful to learn verses but especially to review them. I have set a max frequency of 3 months, so I’m reviewing my verses at least that often. I also recommend setting it to just type the first letter (I first tried the setting of typing all the letters for accuracy!).

I’ve recommended this site/app to lots of people. When I taught at a Christian school, my fifth graders would get on every Friday to master that week’s verse and to review previous ones. Now hat I have homeschool, it’s part of the weekly routine for my 9yo son.

There are other good memory apps out there (I personally know the designer for VerseLocker) and some that are more game-y, but I’m so thankful that this is the one I use. Before, I had no idea how many verses I knew, but this site now has the catalog of all the verses I’ve ever learned from multiple different translations. (I especially like that I can add NIV84 verses).

I could go on and on...
    excellent program, excellent app
    Thank you, Scripture Typer/Bible Memory!!!

  • Brilliant aide- memoire

I’ve only been using this for a month and have already learned or re- learned so many verses and passages. Enjoyable and deepens your understanding of the verses.
  • Use it everyday

This is an excellent app and on that I use just about every day and have been for two or three years. Highly recommend
