  • Watch Support and Notifications

There are so many things I appreciate about this app, but I find that I am not using it at all right now. I mainly purchased it for the ability to review verses on my Apple Watch, but the Watch verse due times are not syncing/are very buggy and inconsistent. There is also very limited capability to scroll through verses that are due on the Watch. Notifications also aren’t working on iPad Pro or iPhone SE. The app directs me to allow notifications in my device settings, but the Bible Memory App does not display in the device notifications tab. I hope these issues can be addressed.

  • God given

I was very sceptical when purchasing this app, how could learning be this easy. Sorry for doubting, in one year I have memorised whole chapters and learned 517 verses, which I had no understanding before using this app.
Well done to the makers, even my children are now into 300+ verses, a must for all wanting to learn scripture.
I would ask if possible to make so I can speak the scripture back rather than typing, but not essential to an already superb app.

  • Not perfect but functional

Edited review - In response to my original review and the email I sent, the developers restored my account to the pro version, which I appreciate. My only complaint is that after reinstalling the app I can only access my old verses on the desktop version and not the app despite syncing.

Original review - I bought this app to memorize Bible verses. After using the lite version and reaching the limit of 50 verses, I bought the pro version. However, I only had access to the pro version for 1 day before it reverted to the lite version. I deleted the app and reinstalled it to see if that would help, but I ended up losing all my verses despite my having an account. I will no longer use this app and I am still waiting for App support to respond to my email about this issue.

  • Great app user friendly

I have been using this app for years now. I love the options for using various Bible versions and how you can set your desired accuracy level. The app is pretty user friendly and it is easy to add verses.

Two improvements that could be made: make a default category in the “My Verses” section labeled “Verses Not Yet Mastered”. I sometimes want to quickly look over the verses I have already added but have not yet mastered. Currently this requires looking at the entire list of verses I have added.

Second, it would be awesome to work on multiple language capabilities, for example for Mandarin or Spanish.

  • Works the Word with me

Enjoying challenging myself to memorise Scripture very much with this app. No gimmicks, no distractions, just easy fixing of God’s Word in my memory which makes the verses and content accessible for application during my day.
  • Decent but could use some improvements.

It’s a little outdated and could use some updates for instance — being able to check the progress of other participants in a group as well as making it a little user friendly. The app I was using before this was much easier to navigate, however, I liked that this app allowed me to change versions for free and not be stuck memorizing KJV. It also does not show up in my notifications. When I search it in settings to turn on the notifications, it is not showing up. I’m still trying to learn how to navigate things like how to stop reviewing a verse our small group is no longer learning but still keep it as a verse that I have memorized. I don’t know. It’s just confusing maybe a tutorial would be great to include as well. Nonetheless, the app gets the job done and I’m still learning the verses. Just wish it was easier.

  • Not intuitive, no tutorial help

I don’t know how this app got so many high ratings. I bought the PRO version and tried to figure out how to memorize and master a verse. There is zero help on figuring this out in the app. When I googled to find help their website gave 3 lines of instructions, no examples. Their website isn’t even mobile friendly. I paid $13.99 for the PRO version and they want me to pay another $13.99 to get the NIV version Bible in the app.

  • Best Memory App for my sometimes tired mind!

Being over fifty it seems a bit more difficult to memorize verses than it should be (Yes, I’m doing brain food like B12 and DHA!) But this App has helped me so much! I started easy on myself and now am amazed at how many verses are in the rotation! Once the verse I chose to memorize is imported, I read it aloud a few times then record it. On the second step the app prompts you with every few words. The third step you type it yourself. Wrong words can be set to vibrate. (Our son has used the app for memorizing school projects!) On a tired day I might just listen to the audio recording a few times, so progress can be made even then! The points system becomes motivating over time!

  • Very useful, making memorising verses on the go very practical

I love this system they ha e developed and find that it helps my learning style nicely. I use public transport a lot and this app is perfect for those moments.
I'd love an option that allows you to tag a key word in each verse. Overall fantastic
  • Free is what I need

Everything that is free: including the app itself, the KJV of the Bible and that is pretty much it. It reminds you when to study your verse, but when I click on the notification, it wants me to pay for something and I have to close the app and reopen it to get to the verse. Besides that issue I think it is a pretty awesome app for memorizing verses. The level system is my favorite part. Every time you memorize or practice a verse you get points depending on how well you memorized it. If you get a certain amount of points you level up. This levels system is only for an achievement idea rather than actually changing anything in the app itself. But it is kind of motivating. And if you like video games and leveling up, like I do, this is a fun way to memorize verses. It really helps and is a fun way to memorize verses.
