Pros: the catalog of objects is good, lots of stuff to put in the houses. There are lots of wall and floor textures. There’s some good edit-ability, like you can change the height, width and depth of pretty much anything. Cons: the biggest one is that occasionally, I will work on a project for an hour, then close the project and the next time I open the app, it has forgotten everything I’ve done since the previous use. It doesn’t seem to be associated with internet connectivity or anything, it happens when I’m on cell data and on wifi. The actual construction pieces of the app, like walls, stairs, roof shapes, are super limited. The roofs don’t snap except outside to outside edge of walls. There should be a snapping point that fits some standard eave overhang, doesn’t have to be a million options. It would also be nice if roofs snapped to each other. Dormers would be a good component to add. Also the gabled roofs don’t have side walls, just a big gaping hole on the side. You can’t even make a sloped wall to fill the space, the best I could do was make a wall in a bunch of segments of increasing height. There are no railings on the straight stairs, it would be nice if that was a toggle on the “edit” page so you can add “left” and “right” separately. The beds should be standard bed size by default, like twin/double/queen/king, instead they’re all random, and default to way oversized. It would be nice if there was a shape that’s a flat circle, for designing an ADA wheelchair turn-around, which should default to a 60-inch diameter. Currently I use a round table and make it 4” tall. It would be nice to be able to apply wall color and texture to an entire room, rather than each wall segment at a time. And finally, while there are a lot of doors, there are missing standard home doors like a double sliding glass door, and closet doors, like a double sliding door or a bifold. Just a little more polish would make this a really satisfying app, like I could make houses that 3D render to look like a place I might actually want to live. ### 2/5 — Horrible update. *2026-07-28* I have used this app since 2023 or so and have never had anything to complain about prior to this update. the color options being expanded was nice i guess but the way the selections pop up completely blocks the view of whatever i'm trying to color and having to go back and forth just to see what i'm doing is very annoying. Also if i like a certain color but want it darker, i no longer have that option. The value slider is gone now and unless you have knowledge of how the color slider program works and color theory and all that , it's just harder to mess with.i have never left a review for an app before but this update bothered me so much i figured out how to do it just to make my point. ### 4/5 — Major Missing Feature! *2026-07-25* The app is amazing and I've been having a lot of fun designing with it. However, It's super weird to me that there seems to be no way for walls to snap in place? Like, when drawing a wall, It would be a lot more convenient if there was a way that it could snap to the meter instead of me having to zoom all the way in and line it up myself... Cannot access support. *2026-06-30* This is a handy app for basic home/room layout. I purchased the full yearly subscription. It is fairly intuitive to use and the learning curve is not too bad. So far no serious glitches or crashes. Some tools like text and measurements are not intuitively located. Concerned that support email address is not valid. Overall I’m happy with this app but feel it is a bit overpriced. Addendum: The developer contacted me regarding the contact email and it does work. I double checked the measurements after the room scanner and they were only a few inches off each time. I recommend going room to room to get the full floor plan as it sometimes kicks you out if you try to do it all in one. Otherwise impeccable. ### 5/5 — Easy To Draw Precision Floor Plans *2026-06-03* I needed to draw up a floor plan to get permits for building in our basement. I tried a number of other apps and this was my favorite. I appreciated how smooth it was to create precise and to-scale walls. When lengthening or shortening, inside and outside wall dimensions were displayed by the inch. Then through the View menu at the top, you can enable of disable snapping and lock features. Another great feature is the ability to use the room inspector to setup labels for each room showing a combination of room titles, total square ft, or dimensions. At one point, I had a question about using the app and was able to get a response from 4Plan support the next day. ### 5/5 — Beginner friendly and must be creative *2026-05-29* This app was so easy to learn and easy to maneuver. I wish it had more shortcuts, I found myself repeating so many tasks that couldn’t be duplicated (like wall textures/colors). I also wish there were slightly more options for the free version. BUT that is where the creativity comes in. I’ve made sooo many things improvising with my free options. Overall, I LOVE this app and it’s helped me gain so much inspiration and help into building my own home. ### 2/5 — Missing Features *2026-05-29, version 1.3.16* Some seemingly simple additional features would make this a really great app. It would be great to group walls or room and move it to another area or mirror it and move it. You should be able to cut and paste between floors. I’m not able to find a way to change it from metric to Feet/Inches. There is no option for scale like 1/2”=12”. There’s no option to use the scroll wheel for zooming in/out. Not made for someone that knows construction/Architectural drafting to make your own floor plan/blueprints. I’m sure there is a lot of other things that don’t work like you expect for this type of app. I deleted it within the first 10 minutes of installing it. I’ve lost access to Revit and was looking for something intuitive and powerful. I found 4Plan, I was up and running in 10 mins and had by home rebuilt in 30 mins. It’s a true object based home design solution perfectly design for smartphones. I felt the need for some minor improvements (like avoid redundant dimensions or making object picking and dragging easier) but those are not deal breakers. I was able to create the model and drawings and send to the contractor in a timely manner! ### 5/5 — Great *2026-08-01, version 1.6.6* I love the program. Two dressers a TV in the bathroom toilet a bathtub because like you know we need a bathtub and then a sink and just like a little dresser thing and it is so amazing like I said satisfying aesthetic and it just brings me so much joy and I get to show my mom on my cousin like the room idea cause my cousin has an app to. and yeah so it’s just like such an amazing app and I love it.
