Good drivers and nice clean cars. Sometimes late, so book earlier than needed. (They don’t show up 10 mins early like some companies) BUT the app hasn’t been updated in years and needs a serious refresh. I end up phoning when needed instead of the app. ### 2/5 — Excessive card charges *2015-10-17, version 21.5.1* No way to see how much it will cost before pick up and on arrival I was given a choice of £15 cash or £19 card...Really? ### 4/5 — At last! *2013-04-01, version 1.1.5* I'm glad you finally have an app. I have a couple of suggestions though. I already have an account on your website, I don't see how to use that account with the app. Could that be improved? I don't see how to get a quotation for a journey without actually booking it. Unfortunately, their other “professional” driver doesn’t use indicators at all and uses phone while driving. Address search doesn't work and there are no payment options so it's not usable at all. Used to be good. ### 2/5 — Charges more after journey complete. *2023-05-13, version 30.4.1* Plus: - good driver, good journey Minus: - Quoted £8 for the whole journey. After journey completed, I was charged £13 for the same journey. Rung them and Saj said the quote was only for part of the journey and I was charged more and that is what they do. Suggest you avoid the company. ### 2/5 — Issues *2017-03-12, version 23.0.0* Great idea but had three problems. 1) Taxi didn't turn up twice. 2) 7 seater ordered, 5 seater turned up. 3) Cancelled via app, but taxi turned up. Said I didn't cancel. Full fare charged! Used them for 13 years prior to this. Never again. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Very good *2026-02-18, version 45.2515.3* Amazing as always ### 5/5 — Updated and better than ever. *2018-02-10, version 30.1.1* Whilst the app received a major update recently which required me to create a new account the updated version is better than ever (and actually now tells you the cost within the app). Like UBER for Reading except you’re using a local taxi company. Highly recommended. ### 5/5 — Been using for 2 years now *2017-02-25, version 23.0.0* Been using this app and company around 1-4 times a week for nearly the most part of 2 years now I believe. Generally a really good company and a good app to use, drivers are really good too. The app: - Easy to book and pre-book taxis - Can let a friend track you - Can pay by card through the app or cash to driver - Estimated pickup time is accurate - You can't leave reviews for drivers though, the link has never worked for me. The drivers and company: - Quite pricey compared to other companies (I think it's £3 more than Uber) but the cars are nearly always spotless, comfortable and the drivers are usually very welcoming and chatty - Only had an issue with 3 specific drivers I can think of in 2 years, I would've reviewed them but like I said the link won't work. - Very quick pickup from central reading, drivers know their way about really well too. - Company is mostly used for transport from airports and such from what I've heard but they're perfectly happy to drop me off home from work very frequently - Really safe environment in my opinion, never felt worried. Hopefully will keep using this company for years to come! Definitely recommend them to anyone needing a taxi journey within Reading. ### 5/5 — Great app *2016-06-05, version 22.0.0* This is probably one of the most useful apps I have. If you live in Reading in the UK and use minicabs, you need this app. Easy to book, shows where your taxi is in real time, estimated time of arrival, text messages or emails notifying when it has arrived to pick you up. There is a credit card option but I couldn't get it to save my details so payed cash instead, which wasn't a problem.
