App or no App? No delivery or Refund
I ordered 4 side by sides from Alibaba last May. They have not delivered, refuse to discuss refund, have billed me 11 times for the same order, often calling and promising delivery that day or within 24 hours but as soon as I send money they disappear again. When trade assurance isn’t available they collect only, do not deliver, will be mad that you have problems with them and that is it. There is not an honest thing in their whole system. I have been promised by big guy, little guy, 3 companies and their computer. Not one person seems to care if they deliver, they often make up new charges the moment I pay. They care not if they are repetitive, make no sense or if it makes my word bad, beats my business and family without care or concern or guarantees that the biggest Universal Sender in history is discredited. They would watch it all crash around them without lifting a finger to fix! At 7 months and several thousands over their promises to deal with customs, deliver and be honest I am appalled they are allowed an App. Theft on this scale is usually frowned upon by Apple, Google, the Law and God! Download but as an American business count on being held hostage as soon as you count on them and without eventual delivery!

Unusable App search is too broken
While there are plenty of features I like about this app, they are overshadowed by the broken search.
It is difficult to get any consistent results, the filter option never works. I constantly set the filter to “100% silk” or “100% linen” and get mostly results full of cotton and polyester, which these products’ descriptions will list under material! There is no filter! If these are sponsored results they are not marked like others are, which is misleading and dilutes the worth of the app.
I understand these algorithmic errors are difficult to fix smoothly but it has removed much of the usefulness the app could have, it needs an overhaul.
Every section that could have useful info is filled with “suggestions” for products that are not useful based on my regular searches. My “notifications” are just more suggestions, not updates on products or vendors I usually shop from.
The chat feature works great, and a lot of sellers reply fast and get right to the point quickly. As long as I pay a lot of attention I can find very useful, quality raw materials. Pity that the app is broken. I understand the need for ads and sponsored posts but they must be integrated better to restore usability of the app and this promising business model.

Got scam on first ever purchase
The seller I brought some items from didn’t use the information given when it came to delivery, no items I purchased arrived so I requested a refund, the seller made out I was getting a refund then after the case was closed the refund was no longer going to be done, not happy was my first time using the app and shall definitely be spreading the word on social media and to other I know who are looking to use this app telling them to stay away.

Very helpful for my business
Alibaba is helping me slowly transition away from dropshipping and into owning my inventory. My profit margins are better now. Sellers are very communicative. Due to the time difference their morning is my nighttime, so I just stay up a little later to discuss the orders with them. I’ve been very happy with what I received so far. I just wish it registered in my mind that Ocean delivery meant it’s put on a boat and sailed across the ocean and not on an airplane. A seller explained that to me. All the products I can’t get dropshipping anymore I have been able to buy on Alibaba. Even having something custom made in lower quantities than if I bought it directly from a manufacturer since I’m getting it through a supplier. It has been very helpful! Just order samples first. If the seller can’t get a sample, order it on AliExpress, and if you like it then order on Alibaba.

The Alibaba App is extreemely difficult to view and use
Years ago I used this sit to purchase an item. The item never arrived. I waited months to get my money back.
Now it’s 2024. I did a Google search for a particular item. The search result showed this site had it at a very reasonable and affordable site. So, I was willing to try it again. I utilized this app….and it was extreemly difficult to use because the images and font were extreemly very tiny. There was no way to zoom or increase the font to read the description details or anything. It just didn’t work. I had to take a screenshot of each page just to I creas the font to read. It just became too frustrating because I wanted to purchase many things. So I had no other choice than to not use the site because the small print made it too difficult. So I hope the app developers read this and correct the issue because they seem to have nice products at inexpensive prices (according to Google search). Perhaps I will visit their site again I the near future to see if they improved their site. I will provide an update if I do. I’m looking forward. Good day.

Still Not Refunded
I like this company, but I wonder if they aren’t related to Wish sometimes. The first time we ordered from them we used PayPal we got our items in a almost fair amount of time, 3 wks. We were needing some of the items a few days before the date for a Company party which we were agreed upon before we ordered would be or we could of made other arrangements here in the US, or somewhere else so that was a Big bummer, but so we learn rt. So X-MAs rolls around and have other orders between that were just fine and we appreciated the deals Buttttttt X-MAs we ordered a Cpl 70+ higher end TV’s and two wireless surround sound systems and we’re yet to receive them Ora refund as a matter of fact no one has even responded back to us on the matter. We ordered these as gifts and I was astounded at the lack of consideration or help or Non- Help received. Thanx Alibaba for Nothing, literally! This was purchased on our card and we sent ( uploaded) a copy of the bank statement with no avail.

More search filters
The app is quite easy to use but a little improvement on search function is needed such as filter for verified suppliers when using photo search, each category should break down into smaller sub-categories. Additionally, search results are often inaccurate or too broad.
