  • Great...but

I really like the idea of this app. The only problem is, it’s so hard to remember to log on to track my laps. Not only that, but I have to have it on my person in order for it to log. I really wish I could link my Apple Watch...or Fitbit or other pedometer device. I have usually run a mile and my watch let’s me know I’ve run a mile when I tend to remember I should be logging my charity miles. So I log in real quick to catch the last half of my workout. Since I’m still a novice runner that is usually only at most half of a mile. I would love to help my charity more but since it doesn’t link to my watch which I use to track my workouts, I miss out on so many miles.

  • Outstanding Opportunity to be inspired to exercise

I am forever grateful in reading about Charity Miles and how I could earn monies for some of my favorite charities. I spread the word to all I meet. Also called in to WGTS my Christian radio station when they were asking how to stay on track with exercise. Gene is best, always responding to email, finding ways to improve the outreach and positive thoughts. I am thrilled to now have it linked to my health app and count my steps. Keep passing the word on how to make the world a better place one step at a time.

  • I Love This App, But I have some suggestions

I really like what this app is doing and everything, but there could be some things that would make it even better.

It would be really great to be able to see how much money you’ve earned/donated to the charity since the mile counter may not be helpful for those who both run and bike. It would just be cool to know how much you’re donating and it would give people more motivation because they can see their effort going to something.

Second, it would be really great for the outdoor activities: walking, running, and biking, if there were some kind of location thing you could turn on to show your route, and then you could post your route as the picture that goes along with the run as well.

That’s all, I just thought these suggestions might be cool, even if they’ve already been suggested.

  • Great idea

If I could use it without depleting my battery, I would use as much as possible. If it was linked to my iPhone health step tracker I would use it. As it is I’m not using it at all.
  • Awesome!

This app is super cool, as it doesn’t ask you to pay anything, it’s a simple way to track your miles over a period of time, and all for a great cause. It doesn’t really donate much, but every donation counts. The only problem is it’s not very informative. I would like to see how much total money I raised, and for what charity. Also, it doesn’t give you any stats at all. It has a chart for your daily, monthly, or yearly workouts, but it doesn’t label the x or y axis so it’s basically just a bunch of lines that don’t tell you much. But it does get me more motivated to work out and I would definitely recommend this app to everyone.

  • Great app

This app is great as it allows you to do your everyday tasks but raise money for your desired charity at the same time.

The only bad things I could say about this app is that they do not have any uk charities like cancer research and the British heart foundation. These are charities I would like to donate to as they are the most important ones in my life.

Another thing I do not like is only that you cannot see how much you have donated personally to specific charities.

Other than these 2 things, this app is really good!

  • Awesome App so far

Downloaded last night, easy set up. Just finished first outdoor run and was a bit skeptical because my test jog didn’t get any mileage. Finished up and with a gps watch tracking 6.2 miles this app captured 5.5 miles. From other tracking apps I’ve heard about this is fantastic, no complaints.

Oh and of course donating miles I’d be running anyway is amazing - this app is awesome! Thank you charity miles!

I’ll report back after a few uses to see if I’m still satisfied.

  • Broken

Looks like the App doesn’t work. Tried to. Relate an account but won’t allow it. Keeps asking me to try again. Haven’t succeeded so far. Will try for a couple more days then will delete the App. Shame. Seems like a very good idea.
  • New Update Bugs

With the new 5.2.0 update we can no longer see our team information or leaderboards. Definitely takes a lot of the fun out of it. Hope it gets fixed soon.
  • App a consistent failure

What alternative apps are there that donate funds based on your mileage?

I’ve used this app since 2013. In the last months, the app refuses to record my miles. It maybe works once every ten runs, but even that estimate is generous. I’ve contacted help multiple times and get the same message. The most info I’ve gotten is a recommendation that I replace my phone battery even though I bought my phone recently and the battery works at 100%. All my other running apps work on the same phone. Not this one. The 1st version, Reich was totally basic, worked consistently. The new version has worthless bells and whistles and consistently fails. I am not not sure how the developers justify this failure given that their purpose is to raise funds for charities.
