Happened after the latest update. ### 4/5 — What happened *2020-06-20, version 2.0* On my old iPhone I used to get text messages about road incidents this was invaluable as I travel to Charleston all the time. New iPhone no longer gets text about road incidents and I’m not able to choose from the app the areas of I26 as my favorites. They’ve tried to add too much to it, and while it has more info available, it just takes too much hunting to find cameras by area rather than route. ### 4/5 — Great app *2019-11-20, version 1.22.6* I use this app all the time to get traffic updates and to also check the weather. My daughter texts me all the time when she sees something of interest. I always check the cameras before I leave work to come home. Get a good ideal of how my drive will go. ### 2/5 — Nearly useless fo maps *2018-09-17, version 1.21.5* ReadyNC is a great live updated map for NC and I was hoping for the same in this do SC but it’s useless for maps. I’m in the fifth day of hurricane Florence and the app shows mostly clear roads in spite of most of SC being flooded out. The web site has better info but loads slowly. Great to get information on collisions and road conditions. ### 3/5 — Needs work *2018-05-19, version 1.21.5* Cameras are in no apparent order. They should be in the order, all cameras on I26 East or West should be in order of the way they go down the highways, all cameras on I526 E and W should be in order, etc. Most people don’t know mile marker or exit numbers, they only know names. The original app let you customize the camera list so you could put them in your own order. Also seems they always turn the cameras off where there is an accident so you can’t check the traffic around it. The cameras at the Wando Bridges and Daniel Island are needed more than ever now but they have been removed/turned off. ### 4/5 — Great App *2017-04-20, version 1.18.1* I love this app. Real time info on traffic. No consistency on which cams are up versus down. Fully understand down cams due to weather. But those up versus down appears random outside of weather affected areas. Benefits would be greater given higher cam reliability ### 4/5 — Needs a "favorite cameras" feature. *2016-07-30, version 1.13* This apps works well for me. I mainly use it in my local area. Since this app is tied to the local cameras I can understand the frustration of some people when the cameras don't work, but this isn't the fault of the app. When I first use this app the phone I had showed me just still images and would update every 3 to 4 seconds sometimes not at all. Since I've upgraded to a newer, phone I've noticed that the video streams a pretty consistent now. A feature that this app is needing is the ability to save favorite cameras because it's sort of tidious to navigate through the menus every time to find the specific cameras that you use on a daily basis, this should be a feature where you could save the cameras you use on a regular basis. ### 2/5 — Too many screaming arrows *2016-07-04, version 1.13* This app is becoming useless since so many videos will not stream. For example on July 4 the camera showing Isle of Palms traffic is not streaming. Several 526 cameras are not straining. The latest update was supposed to correct but did not. ### 3/5 — Crashes in maps *2016-06-21, version 1.12* Fairly good app but as of late it crashes going into Maps. Have to go straight to cameras to see the ones I want. A hassle. Sometimes when there's an accident near a camera, that particular camera cannot be viewed. So it's hard to determine if I need to detour around it or just wait through it. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Cameras never work! *2023-04-19, version 2.0.7* More than half of the cameras around Charleston never work, specifically none on I-526 to and from Mt Pleasant where ALL of the congestion always is. Can’t edit favorites, can’t see cameras. What’s the point? Hasn’t been an asset for me in almost a year. ### 1/5 — 5 star until they did an upgrade *2022-05-07, version 2.0.6* Watched it every single day. Then they dod an upgrade which took away the full screen view and made it impossible to really see. They have tried to fix it but the result that it is a split screen view that is only worse. Only hope is that they are obviously trying to fix it. The problem is do they know how? ### 1/5 — Once upon a time…. *2021-11-24, version 2.0* …..this APP was great. It is worthless in its current state. I get better information from Waze. There is no information worth while to be found on SC511. No construction, no message signs. Please fix! I depend on this app. ### 1/5 — Most Cameras not streaming *2016-07-23, version 1.13* Most of the cameras have stopped streaming in Myrtle Beach. They are very useful for the locals trying to maneuver the area around the tourists. ### 1/5 — CAMERAS ... FIX PLEASE... *2016-07-18, version 1.13* About every navigation app can show traffic congestion. Viewing the traffic cameras would be the only thing this app has going for it and it would be really neat. However for years now over half the cameras dont work in the Myrtle Beach area. Did SCDOT and our tax $ actually create this app? If so, it looks like its been a waste of money. Or maybe they need to fix broken cameras. Money has been tight. I tried to make it to the next exit that a gas station was available. Unfortunately, I miss judged and ran out of gas before the exit. Firstly, I was highly embarrassed and so scared. I put my head down on the steering wheel and praying in my head. Only, to look up and see the sc dot truck in my rear view mirror. He gave me a gallon of gas and waited until my truck started. I had no idea that they even existed for road side assistance and free..
