Simple & effective
This App is great. Clearly explained, easy to enter your data and then see the results. As complicated as you want if you need more detail. Congratulations. Ian
Disappointed
Seems to be very similar to the free version. And, after paying $10 it encourages you to buy the other version where you can start with your desired depth of field. Donβt both with this one.
Love it.
Does exactly what it is supposed to do.
Amazing!
Fantastic, a great app permitting substantially increased understanding, visualisation and thus control of depth of field. Simple, easy to use interface.
Meh
Not really that great
I like it
This is a great tool for quickly estimating DOF for night shooting (DOF preview doesn't work so well in low light). It has presets for your favorite focal lengths.
I'm an amateur and find this very handy. Probably less handy for a pro who can reliably guesstimate DOF based on extensive experience.

Clumsy and unreliable
Absolute rubbish for the price. Go for a cheap and sole D of F calculator
Great Teaching Tool
Using this app for just one day illuminated to me the value of it as a teaching tool. I used in class to show my photography students how the depth of field is impacted by various aperture settings and they instantly saw that old teachings were in fact incorrect: Narrower aperture IS NOT always better for the "long" shots. Now they can quickly find the best aperture setting to achieve the desired depth of field and surprisingly it typically falls well within the lens' sweet spot aperture range.
Fantastic tool for teaching AND use out in the field.

Slick but needs to be fixed
I really like the way this app is laid out from useabiltity perpective. However, the left hand Rear/Front/Total distance readings do NOT match the distance that is set on the center slider. For example, with the app set for a 200mm focal length lens at F8 and the center sliding focus distance scale set at 15m the left and readout are 1.2/1.1/2.3m instead of distances around the 15m mark. This need to be fixed or else I will have to continue to use DOF Master instead. Please fix this problem!
