Did not honor booking made 9 months ahead of time…charged anyway!
I booked a ride 9 months in advance knowing that my event would be in demand. I landed in the city for my event to a voicemail and email canceling my ride the DAY OF! Conveniently, Blacklane had already charged me for the ride ($93!) two days before I arrived and still has not reversed that charge.
I fully believe that Blacklane canceled my ride, made 9 months in advance, because they realized that prices/demand were surging and they did not want to honor the (more reasonable) price from my 9 months in advance booking. This is the ultimate shady business practice, and left me unable to secure a comparable or alternative ride home given the last minute cancellation and the demand in the area. If Blacklane was not going to honor my booking, they had 9 months to tell me and allow me the simple courtesy of time to find a different option.
Will never use the service again and will make sure my experience is known to all in my circle.

Drivers are ‘Subject to Availability’
BEWARE!! On booking a driver, you receive a confirmed booking reference, but in fact this is only ‘subject to availability’. It is not stated anywhere on the booking confirmation the booking can be cancelled by Blacklane, 30 minutes before pick up time the dispatch team will advise they are cancelling the booking leaving you in an extremely bad position, especially to get to the airport on time! If you are looking for a reliable service, do not depend on Blacklane. I am a regular business customer but now deleting the app
