Thank you!

I originally found this app by google searching emotional eating > replacing lies with truth. I have used this app every day for the past couple of days continuously in effort less about food and more about taking unhealthy sinful thoughts, actions, and reactions captive > surrendering them to the Lord > and replacing them with the truth of Gods word. In our Tuesday morning office meeting, we used the stress before your work day as a team to work through and took turns reading the scripture out loud at the bottom. With all this said, thank you for being a faithful steward of Gods word to produce this fruitful resource!!!

Freedom from The stronghold of emotional eating

This app and the books from Barb Raveling have been the vessel God has used to open my eyes. I now see my own self deception when it comes to my dependence on food. I am learning to truly seek God for comfort instead of turning food. If like myself you have struggled with the question, “why can’t I lose weight and keep it off;” then surrender yourself for the truth of God’s word and get this app. Then step back and watch God do the work.

This approach is the answer.

The series of questions Barb takes you through transforms your thought process from resenting your boundaries to genuinely desiring to follow them, which can't help but set up your day for success. As a girl who spent all her teenage years caught in the web of self-image and shame that comes with yo-yo dieting, this approach is breath of fresh air as it truly confirms that only Christ is the answer to our weight-loss issues.

So helpful

This app and her Bible study book A Taste of Truth are just what I needed. I actually was going to the app right now when it popped up for me to read it and I said I have to rate this app! It really thinks about all the emotions and lies that we deal with when we’re trying to lose weight. It walks us through questions that make us answer and deal with our own truth. Then it gives scriptures to encourage us to stay strong. I have recommended this app to so many people because it’s been such a blessing to me.

Suggestion for this app

Can y’all make it to where we can interact with others on this app if we choose and possible get a way to set up a thing to where we can create a group kinda like group me that us and our friends can join that way we can keep each other accountable share our experiences our concerns maybe even add a way to imput like maybe measurements and/or weight on maybe a weekly or daily basis. When we did this at my church we bought everyone a book and met weekly and weighed in and measured weekly so we could see the progress as well as share our accomplishments with other people we also were able to discuss any concerns we had and when we met we would walk around our church and get to spend some time with the people that were going through some of the same struggles we were love this program though

Boundaries

Thank you for this marvelous a-p to support your books and definitely also people who might never buy one. I sent enough of them to friends that we now have a virtual Bible Study and accountability system. We all have different boundaries and this book helps define the WHY so needed to stick to any plan or maintain any boundaries. We will live in victory thanks to your witness.🙏🏽

So helpful!

The struggle is real! Live in the Rockies with no Weight Watchers and having this extra tool has been wonderful! Had a little “why can’t I eat like everyone else “ break down and this app got me back on track!

“Missing Link” for Weight Loss—the spiritual component

As an RD, LDN, (registered/licensed dietitian), I meet many patients/clients who know WHAT to do, they just don’t know HOW to have the strength/willpower to do it. Christ is the answer, but patients/clients don’t understand how this, how their faith, applies to weight management/health. This is an area in my own struggle as well as in my patients/clients weight/health struggles that is often overlooked or looked at as “taboo” to speak about, but it is MOST essential!
This app can be easily shared with patients/clients, friends/relatives, to give them practical help for weight management and also as way to introduce them to Jesus Christ or help them to grow in their walk.
“For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul?” (Matthew 16:26)
“...for bodily discipline is only if little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8
Thank you for this app, books, and other help that points to Him through one’s health journey!

Best App Ever!

Someone on social media who lost a tremendous amount of weight shared the link to this wonderful user-friendly App! I am so grateful because it is the best App that I have ever seen! I say this because this weight loss challenge is a mental and spiritual journey!

Since marrying and going through many challenges, I coped by eating and gaining 172 pounds. I lost 80 of those pounds but sadly regained 25 of them back. However, through your App, I am confident that I am going to lose every pound that I need. It was not my spouse’s fault at all that I gained, it was how I dealt with the pain in the relationship. However, through your App, I’m able to see scriptures that address all of my mental moods when I eat unnecessarily!

Thank you so much for this and when I reach my goal, I will let you know! I highly recommend this App for anyone who needs to lose a little or like me, a lot! To God be the glory for the producers and editors of this life-altering faith filled App!!

Great resource!

I am finding this app to be very helpful for preparing myself daily for potential food temptations and not giving in to temptations in the moment. The way Barb breaks down the reasons we reach for food when not hungry is creating a paradigm shift for me that is necessary for me to overcome my temptations and eating for emotional reasons. I highly recommend this app.
