### 5/5 — Perfection

*2023-06-27*

Much like the other 5 star reviews, I appreciate how simple and easy it is to use this app and incrementally increase my lift weights… I’m not one for doing even simple calculations while prepping or working out so this has really helped me a lot!

### 4/5 — Great potential but hard to use outside the US

*2022-06-13*

This app seems awesome! Minimalist and to the point. I really would love to use it but it is not possible to use Kg instead of lb. While putting the Kg values instead of lbs seems an option then the rounding is at 5lbs as opposed to the 2.5Kg. Another nice feature could be to allow to change the second cardio (e.g. pull up on first day, leg rise on second day and so on)

### 5/5 — I mean… it’s kinda awsome

*2021-08-21*

I just like that it’s simple. Hoping it is raising my max after week 4.

**Developer response:** Hey! I am glad you enjoyed using my app, and I'm actually working on a new and improved version built for modern phones. If you're interested in beta testing, please reach out to chris.dwyer@hey.com.

### 4/5 — Simple and straightforward, near perfect

*2020-12-14, version 1.0.2*

If you could add kgs this would be perfect.

### 5/5 — Great 5/3/1 plan

*2020-05-11*

Love the app. Simple and easy to use. A calculator would be cool.

### 5/5 — 5/3/1 simplified

*2019-09-04*

Out of the all the 5/3/1 apps available, this is by far the most simple.
To the developer: it would be great if there were a section for notes so we could keep track of accessory exercises.
Other than that it is a great app.

**Developer response:** Hey! I am glad you enjoyed using my app, and I'm actually working on a new and improved version built for modern phones. If you're interested in beta testing, please reach out to chris.dwyer@hey.com. It has support for adding accessory exercises as well!

### 3/5 — Good app but might could use some additional functionality

*2019-04-09*

I’ve been using the app for a short time but noticed right off that I would like to have a automatic progression for each cycle that I don’t have to enter manually. I also think it would be a jiffy to add a timer clock between sets. Just my two cents.

### 5/5 — Simple

*2018-03-18*

I love this app and the way it takes the thinking out of the program. I walk into the gym, load the app, and do my workout. No ads, no extra bs, just a good workout template. If I wrote an app I’d write it exactly like this.

**Developer response:** Hey! I am glad you enjoyed using my app, and I'm actually working on a new and improved version built for modern phones. If you're interested in beta testing, please reach out to chris.dwyer@hey.com. It will still be 100% free, with no ads (maybe an option in the settings screen to buy me a coffee or something like that). I also plan on supporting customizing workout plans, and multiple prebuilt plans that you can choose from.

### 4/5 — Fantastic!!! Better than the paid apps. Just a few small changes?

*2018-03-15*

I love it!

Could we just make two small changes?

Add barbell row as a fifth exercise and set the BBB lifts to 60% instead of 50%?

That’s all lol please thank you!!!! Love the app. On C3.W2!

### 3/5 — Good app but could be great if...

*2018-03-03*

This app is great for a beginner to the 5-3-1 workout plan.Just click on the exercise you want to perform in that certain cycle and lift, pretty straight forward. There are no ads popping up during the workout, it gives you an assistance workout plan with BBB(boring but big)and it has warm up sets.I do have a few suggestions to make it a great app and hopefully in the near future that would include updates such as:
1-a timer countdown for rest between reps.
2-a plate calculator to eliminate guessing weights to put on the barbell.
3-some kind of calendar log to see progress from the starting point to present. I do understand it’s a 4-week cycle but showing some gains is nice for the user.

If you're interested in beta testing, please reach out to chris.dwyer@hey.com. I would love to work with you to get these features added to the new application! It will still be 100% free, and ad-free.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2016-02-03

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

Changes:
Increased font size
Display fixes for iPhone 4/4s
Warm up is now properly 5-5-3 rather than 5-5-5

Please rate and give feedback, I will never put in ads or popups asking you to rate the app. I developed this for my personal use, but if enough people are interested I will add more 5-3-1/BBB variations, or possibly the ability to build your own workout plan.

I have another update coming in the near future that:
Clarifies some confusion people have had with what the weights you are setting are (it's your one rep max)
Allows you to undo a set by clicking on it again.
Allows you to disable the second set of cardio (like squats on bench day)

Thanks!
Chris
