Good idea, poor execution
The constant location tracking completely drains my battery. If my phone is dead, the app won’t work. If I turn the constant location tracking off so my phone will work through the day, the app is unable to do its job so I’m sure you can see how this doesn’t really work out. It’s a great idea, but needs some serious improvements to actually function.

Downloaded due to free 795 day membership
I’m a guy and just started in real estate so odds likely are less slim that I will need the assistance of this app. I downloaded it because it was free from an association. However, as part of using the app it asked me to provide 6 emergency contacts in my phone book.
Well as I’m now finding out these 6 emergency contacts have been contacted by life line in an effort to market their app. If I had know upfront and clearly that was the purpose I never would have downloaded the app. In fact, because I didn’t know that my contacts would be notified, my contacts text me upon receiving notice from life line and asked me if the app was spam!
In a way I feel deceived into providing those contacts to the app. I hope if I delete the app that a message will be sent to my contacts that I deleted the app and they won’t be bothered by solicitation of the app. I’m wondering legally if the app should have been upfront as to why they needed the contact numbers? The introduction video did not indicate why those numbers were needed. It’s a form of misrepresentation.
As a result, I’ve contacted my dear friends and family to advise them of my mistake of providing there numbers to life line. I will be deleting the app on the same day that I downloaded the app. Thanks life line for misrepresenting me and your app.

We left you a voicemail on 02/14/18 explaining the safety requirement and apologize for the confusion. We require 6 LifeLines for the reason that when you are in danger, your LifeLines will receive a text message and email of your exact location. With the more amount of LifeLines knowing of your distress, we create a safer community by notifying the people close to you that you are in danger. Please also note that LifeLines need to download the app to receive notifications if a loved one using the application is in danger. LIFELINES ARE NEVER CHARGED TO DOWNLOAD THE APP & WE PROVIDE THEM 14 Days FREE OF CHARGE TO USE THE APP & ONLY IF THEY DECIDE TO CONTINUE SAFETY SERVICES ARE LIFELINES CHARGED.

I want to give it five stars . The disarm pin is showing on the phone and the watch. That's pretty scary and doesn't help at all if I am in trouble and he has half a brain he will see that :(

Clever, Easy & Beautiful Peace of Mind
This is such a good idea. The app is very well done and has worked dependably. When you're attacked, you can't dial 911 and you can't describe what you look like or your location. LifeLine does all of that the moment it realizes you're unable to. PLUS the beautiful design and system makes it surprisingly fun and rewarding to use. I also like the map feature — I stay really active and live in a city and I like that I can check up on an area before going out. I'm way less nervous about exploring on my own (although I still try to go with a friend). It feels good to report stuff I notice too. It's an app that helps us take better care of ourselves and each other. That's pretty awesome.

Premium Safety App- Brilliant idea!
Lifeline is an easy to use security app that ensures the safety of my family on a daily basis. I am a single mom with 2 small children, living in a questionable area of the city. My parking spot? A manual pad lock accessed from a dark scary alley.. you can imagine my concern! With Lifeline Response I can rest assure that we are protected for the longest 2 minutes of my life it takes to unlock the gate move it aside, pull my car in and relock it, usually in the pitch dark when really anything could ensue. Thanks you for your ongoing protection Lifeline!

Simply Brilliant - On demand security
Finally, an app that adds value and provides personal safety. My wife and kids have this app and provides me peace of mind knowing they have 24/7 on-demand security and will notify me in case of emergency. Slick interface and easy to use....Truly a must if concerned about your safety and that of your loved ones.

Old and alone
Perhaps this is only an illusion of safety as one reviewer commented, but but my family and I feel better for having this support. 80 years old and living alone, but active and involved with life. Having a response system like this makes all the difference.
Never too safe
This app is great for when you are walking alone. If it's an emergency I would always recommend to call 911 directly, but with the timer and panic button, this is a great addition to your safety plan. While ALL newer phones are Phase II E911 capable (it's the law), not all PSAP's are capable of Phase II technology so they cannot get an accurate location. The FCC only requires 67% of calls to provide a location within 50 meters, your phone apps can provide a much more precise location and are not reliant on antiquated technology like Phase II. It's always good to have other means of calling for help, but if you can speak and know your exact location then it's probably better to just call 911 yourself as it does save time.

Super app for personal security
First, many thanks to 911 responders for their dedication. The biggest advantage of this app over calling 911 is the thumb release feature. If someone grabs you from behind, releasing your thumb from the phone screen automatically triggers an alarm and an alert to the emergency call center, whereas you would be restrained or prohibited from being able to physically tap in 911. Also triggering this app would also simultaneously alert all your listed contacts. Wonderful peace of mind.

This app, and most like it, really just provide an illusion of safety.
We do have a way to track your cellphone, it's called Phase2 and it's activated the second you dial 911. It's only accurate on more expensive phones, which you clearly have if you're able to install this app in the first place.
When an alarm is triggered with this app, it goes trough the company, who then has to call the local dispatch center on a non-emergent line (it's illegal for alarm companies to call 911), which means the alarm company's call will ONLY be answered when there's no 911 calls coming in.
This can add 3-5 minutes for the information to actually get to an officer.
If you call 911 yourself, we can use Phase2 to track your phone ourselves and give the information directly to the responding officers. With apps like this, the information goes to the alarm company and they have to verbally relay it to the operator who has to verbally relay it to the officer, wasting even more valuable time.
Cut out the middlemen and the huge delays, just call 911 yourself! You're already paying for it with your taxes!
