Great App. A Real Lifesaver!
I recently found this app while looking to see if there was anything better than the app I’ve been using for the past 14.5 years. It didn’t take long for me to decide to buy the Lifetime version. I didn’t even do the trial. What I had in the basic free version was enough to sell me on the full version.
I’ve been using Weight Diary by Curlybrace Apps (also a 5-star app!) since 2010. Happy Scale read all 14.5 years of my weight data in mere seconds (if that long). As much as I like Weight Diary, I’ll be spending more time using Happy Scale to keep my weight on track.
The level of analysis Happy Scale has is better than any other weight management apps that I have seen, and I tried a lot of them.
There a few things I’d like to see added to the app. The chart options are seven days, 30 days, 90 days, one year and all time. I’d like to see a 60 day and six month option too.
If you are one of those people, as I am, whose internal switch doesn’t work well with regulating your weight, continuous monitoring is the next best thing to losing or maintaining your weight. Happy Scale is a life saver. Its statistical analysis of your weight will help you clearly see trends and predictions of your future weight based on your history.
Even if you have been using another app that you are happy with, you owe it to yourself to try Happy Scale. If your current app will link with Apple Health, Happy Scale will directly import your data automatically!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Show lessTrends > Day to Day
I have been overweight for about eight years in my life (13 to 20 years old). For context, I am a 5’10 female. I downloaded this app as a replacement for a premium app when my free trial ended, but I’d realized I liked logging my weight daily. Happy Scale gave me so many insights that I was missing just by tracking my weight without recording trends, highs or lows. I just weighed in at 23 pounds lighter than when I started using this app seven months ago (from 188# to 165#). I’m still using this app as I try to lose five more pounds. I highly recommend this for anyone trying to lose weight, or to become more conscientious of their daily eating/exercise habits. I have become so much more self-aware of my habits in a very healthy way. And yes, there are some days where I wake up, and I know I’ll be heavier on the scale, but every day is a learning opportunity and this app helped me separate myself from my daily weight and think about my average weight and trends instead. Best of luck in whatever pursuit you’re using Happy Scale for! It didn’t disappoint for me.Show lessFeeling Better = Small Choices Over Time
I was encouraged to get this app by Ree Drummond’s essay about losing 50 pounds which included a recommendation of this app. Within days it changed my relationship with the scale which I had avoided for 8 years as I healed from a lifetime of compulsive dieting.
After healing my mind recently I came to the point that I wanted to feel better in my body. I wish I had this app years ago because I’d probably be working towards losing 5 pounds vs. 30, but so it goes! With this app’s moving average perspective and encouraging stats and colorful graphs, I have shifted my mindset about weight and weight loss. Slimming down is possible, even during menopause. It is a non-linear, slow-and-steady accumulation of choices. It helps to find a method of accountability that supports mental well being — this app is it!
I am a cook, food and wine lover, and Intuitive Eater. For me, losing weight now is looking like a half pound per week, but I’ll take it! I have worked hard to bring joy and well being into my food relationship and now, feeling better in my body is happening too. Without Happy Scale I’m almost sure I would have thrown in the towel by now. Instead I am in the journey, curiously learning more about my body and my preferences. I’ve lost 5 pounds in a little over a month. I’ve been eating less and moving more and Happy Scale is helping me stay positive. Thank you so much, Russ!Show less
