  • completely awesome editor

Such a super smart editor app! For some reason sometimes it wont save an edited pic to albums & wont open in IG. But when it works right it lets u highlight each photo with lovely mew colors in so many patterns and adjust each filter by removing parts, lets u rotate photos & write on them & more. I'm looking for a sharpening tool on it but haven't found it yet. Maybe it's hiding or coming soon. You have to add a purchase pack for hi resolution or extra frame. You guys rock!

  • Very nice!

Let me start by saying I've used just about all of the photo editing apps that come out. Out of all of them, this ranks up near the top by Instagram and Pixlr 'O Matic.

The sheer amount of options you get for filters, exposure, vignettes and borders is incredible.

It's a fun way to make your photos look, well, vintage. I shoot film with my friends, and we do a lot of random things that falls into the category "destroyed film" (crumpling, dipping in liquids such as iced tea, etc) and I see a ton of the filters look like what we do.

Anyway, the app works great. Never crashes, connects well to all the sharing options, and is well organized and has fine tools. One of the best free apps I use.

One annoyance, however, is the ad that pops up every times the app launches, asking me to buy the higher resolution packages. Not a big deal, it goes right away upon saying no thanks, but still just annoying.

5/5 guys. Keep up the good work!

  • Nice Vintage Photo App

I am a photo app junkie so I had to to try this one when I saw it was an app of the day. While the UI is not the greatest, it's still a fun app with many features. I even dropped .99 to get the additional frames etc. One thing I don't like is when you try to customize the settings, the app only shows the Original color version and not your edited copy. This needs to change with the next upgrade to get the extra star from me.

  • Really great

Its a great app and possibly one of the best photography apps I have.
The $0.99 high res upgrade seems perfectly adequate and love the free feature. The effects are wonderful and its got buttons for minute details which other apps dont have. And the UI's great and so neatly designed!
I really dont understand why people complain when its free. I know theres an paid upgrade but no one's forcing you and you can use majority of the features for free anyway.
For me personally its a great app

  • Low res :(

Beautiful filters, easy to use interface and customization tools; but the developer slacked off in the resolution department. 1200 resolution makes this only good for online sharing and little else. I greatly appreciate how the developer is paying attention to his customers through frequent updates.

Would definitely rate this higher if larger resolution was implemented, but there isn't room for Vintique on my iphone screen when there are other apps that do more.

  • Good but could be great

I've already gotten some really good results with this app. The color combinations used in the filters and the tonality are wonderful.

The main issue I have with the app is that after a filter is applied, further editing only allows you to edit while viewing the original "pre-filter" version of the photo. This makes it very hard to "tweak" the filtered version to my own tastes. The result is it forces me to view how the changes look applied to the original image and then guess what the picture will look like once the filter is re-applied. As you might imagine this sort of guesswork produces results that are less than what I'm hoping for.

I hope that future versions fix this and--like apps such as PhotoToaster--let you apply a filter and then edit while viewing the filtered version of the image.

  • It's okay

As this app is right now, it's not the best that it could be, however this app shows some potential if they added some key features. The first would be to add an adjustment or texture to a filter, this would allow for further customization, rather than just the ability to toggle on and off. It's quite limited because you can only have 1 external texture at the same time. Also this would allow for the possibility for someone to start from scratch and make their own filter entirely. Another thing that could drastically enhance this app is the ability to edit the textures more, as of now you can change the opacity, however if you made it so that you could change the rotation, size, and even blending mode it would be so much better. There are other little things this app could do to make it better but these where the ones that struck out most frustrating to me. Oh and also it needs more textures. Anyways, as this app is now I give it 2 stars, it could be much better in future updates so I'll wait and see, and maybe review it again on a future date.

  • I don't get it

I honestly don't understand why this is getting bad reviews. Not only are there like 4 times as many filters, but there actually cool, like really cool and unique filters that are better than the instagram ones. U can pin point exactly how u want it centered. U can make any picture the exact way u want it to be. It's worth way more than 99¢. It's amazing in every way. So worth it

  • Decent start but needs to be finely tuned

Slow, clunky, UI needs polishing. Wait to buy until they make improvements.

Only enjoyed a filter or two from the entire set. Instagram is loads better. Needs to try something to set itself apart. Like having actual camera filters from the past that mimic and corresponding names. Filter names are a tad lame. "The day", "heaven", "someday"? These do not help the user. Instead I have to go through each filter, because the thumbnail preview is too small and pixelated, to find a filter I like.

  • Great beginning!

    In really like the debut!
The built in effects are great but they're also customizable!
I've already got some really nostalgic looks and I've moved this to my creativity folder on my iPhone4S!
Yes the output is LowRes but it does add to the nostalgic feel & look at this way......if Hi-Res is added it would only be an added bonus to an already wonderful debut!
Keep up the great work & please don't deviate from what you've started!
