Simply amazing...
I was looking for something old school in the vein of ultima 7 for my iPad and I came across Avadon the black fortress. Since then I have downloaded both Avernum games. I find them simply amazing. Nice graphics, engrossing story and worth every dime. I'm playing on an original iPad and haven't come across any problems thus far. Just buy the game, you won't regret it.

Classic Avernum
This is classic Avernum, through and through. It features a large and expansive world, outstanding writing (and lots and lots of text), tough strategic combat, and a lot of character-building options. An old-fashioned CRPG on your iPad.
Magic RPG
Superb rpg from spiderweb software.Just like the screenshots show it's a top down rpg like the classics of old and plays beautifully with well written quests that pull you into the world of Avernum.Also the game definately auto tilts the way you want to hold your ipad when playing.

Don't bother. Wasted my money on game that will not even launch the right way up.

The best old school rpg in the App Store.
I bought this on a whim and was not disappointed in fact I was blown away by how much content is in the game. The character development is robust, lots of spells, items and secrets. The game is fun and a must have for those Witt the patience for an rpg that doesn't hold your hand.

If you like Avernum:Escape from the pit
Then you have to buy this game. I grew up with games like Baldurs Gate and this is the only game that has come close to it on the iPad but nonetheless I am enjoying this game just as much as the BG series. I never heard of the series until I found Escape from the Pit on the app store.
My only complaint is that there is no music, any atmospheric music would be welcome, I would even suggest music from fallout 1&2 just to add a little but of background music. However none of this stops the game from delivering an unrivaled RPG experience on the iPad.
To the developers: you need to get your hands on the fallout IP and port 1,2 and tactics to the iPad, seriously guys I am starving for a PC fallout experience over here.

Disappointed 😩
Having played the previous 2 games, which were fantastic, I'm sorry to say that this game is not in the same league. The biggest setback is that the junk bag has gone so selling items is unnecessarily complicated. Game Center achievements would be nice, like in the previous games. But I'll persevere and see how it develops.

I love your games BUT.....
This ones very laggy, the skill system is not as good as escape And WHERE'S THE JUNKBAG? Also when you touch for info on a weapon or armour, escape told you what you were currently using for comparison..this game doesnt have this which is a real oversight. Feels like this game hasnt had as much thought put into it as the other two releases....shame.... Bring on balders gate!
