Broken mechanics, and not original
Gameplay is very similar to Tiny Wings and GraviTire. Rewind feature makes it feel easy and removes any challenge. It's a "rogue like" game but allows you to reverse your mistakes. No. That shouldn't be the case. It isn't in Spelunky, or Binding of Isaac, or any rogue like game.
Final complaint is that it does't make sense. No, I'm not taking about the Christmas trees outside of the Universe, but I'm talking about how to escape the Universe. Eventually the Universe catches up on you, and apparently the only way to surf faster than it is to stomp on aliens and asteroids. Going on speed boost pads and getting good momentum does not move you forward. I do not understand why you would stomp on things to go faster than the Universe, but traveling at maximum speed in the game doesn't do anything?
Gameplay keeps me for about three runs then I quit because of this dumb mechanic.Show lessA Hungry American
BEST GAME IN APP STORE!
This app is amazing! I cant say ANYTHING negative about. Its not to easy or to hard and the time feature is handy abd useful. This game is so much fun i play every day! The only reason why this isnt in the top charts is the graphics. I love the graphics and would be okay with updated graphics. Alot of people judge the app on how it looks. They think that low graphic quality = bad game. While there still and I personally love it but other people might not like it. Hoped this helped! 😊Show lessSA 36
Great game
One of my go-to games on the iPhone. First, the soundtrack is amazing (I also listen to it on long drives and runs). It reminds me of old Mega Man games for NES, but even better.
The game itself is a simple platform style, but the keyword here is style. With all the different options to deck out your character and ways to score points and power up, when you get good you almost feel like a maestro conducting a 16-bit symphony.
This game deserves to be mentioned as one of the great mobile games alongside classics like Osmos and Eliss.Show lessmathrandir
Deeper than it first appears
Yes, the core mechanic of the game is like Tiny Wings, but no, this is not a superficial clone. The rewind ability adds a totally new element of strategy, not to mention all of the other little mechanics that they've managed to tie together. The more I play, the more interesting it becomes, which has not been my experience with most other infinite-run games.
I've noticed a few other reviews complaining that the game requires you to buy cake (in-game currency) to keep playing, but I want to clarify that this is not true. Cake is only needed for purchasing optional bonuses, and you can collect it by playing.

Time Surfer is a fun on again off again app that eats up 1-10 minutes of your time throughout your day. I've gotten all the costumes I wanted already and just keep coming back because it's a very satisfying distraction. Time Surfer's gameplay is very similar to Tiny Wings for its endless hill riding mechanic. Thankfully there is enough new added to be different enough to pick up and enjoy if you have already have Tiny Wings. What's new here? The ability to rewind time to survive longer and correct your mistakes for one. There are also obstacles in place now that you need to pass/use to move forward. Making using the rewind is essential here for getting past some tricky areas. The course is completely randomly generated which adds an extra fun bit and spice to the game. If you want an insane challenge there is always the "Hell Zone" mode to try. Don't expect to get too far, it's just fun distraction in the game.
It has in app purchases but you don't need them at all. This isn't pay to play, the IAP's are there if you just want to hurry up and get those awesome costumes ASAP. The game never pushes you to buy anything, nor punishes you for not buyingShow lessBernardo Espanol
Good Game but...
Well first off let me clear up what some people have been saying. You don't have to pay to play, however there is a feature in this game that uses cake as a currency. Whilst playing the game you are given the choice of picking new 'pets' which contain different abilities or power to help you but every time you take them into your game it will cost you between 10-50 'cake'. However I don't care for this system as it makes it feel more like a grind to get cake if you want to use the pets and get new characters. But at face value this game is a gem, It's music although may get repetitive after awhile will get stuck in your head and the gameplay is overall very fluid. Addictive and Simplistic retro chaos at its core it's a very fun title. It's the same concept as Angry birds but more challenging and rewarding at the same time. I give it 4 stars due to the fact this game encourages in app purchases to buy cake to allow you to use power ups (pets) more often. Seriously enough with the in app purchases. I like it a lot, I just started playing it & can't put it down. I'm going to try to keep playing without running out of cake as I have heard you have to use IAP after that and like most people I can't stand IAP. I personally like it better then tiny wings and I think it is definetley worth .99 as long as I don't have to purchase anymore. Well I must get back to it so Good Day!Show lesschico'sgirl
Better than what it copied from
It's not a tiny wings rip off. It's a combination of tiny wings and ski safari, first of all, it's better than tiny wings, way more features. good way to pass the time, and high scores that are hard to obtain only take a minute or two to get to unlike ski safari you have to be playing for 15+ minutes to attempt to beat your score, not worth the time. This game is a lot better. Worth the dollar but I got it for free.Show lessSonickart1
Most Awesome Survival Game of ALL TIME!!!!
What I meant by "survival game" back up there was that you have to go as far as possible while trying to dodge the spikes and avoid falling in the pits. But that's just one thing that makes this awesome. There's more below:
I think that was a pretty nice touch on that rewinding time (I use it a lot). Very convenient. And the power ups! You get boosts, time power ups, gems (also to collect time power), and they even added a little way to collect more space cake! By the way, I only have like 50 space cake. But it's challenging to get the cake because it zig-zags. But how do you get it to do that?
Also, the pets are useful little living bonuses. Heehee. But they are useful. They got some for speed boosts, protection, and I heard that one of them even causes chain explosions! But why do you need to cough up cake to use them? Oh right, they are living things! All living things need to eat! Anyways, they were good ideas!
And the decoration! You can change the flair, vehicle, character, and aliens! And I really like that Arrow of Time flair! But I like the default best though.
This game is pretty much a combination of Ski Safari+Tiny Wings+Subway Surfers=Time Surfer. Even if you do have to pay to get more cake, overall this game, like I mentioned above in the title, is the best survival game of all time! Good job on this game, Kumobius!

The best time killer
First off, paying for extra in game currency (cake) is an option, it is not required unless you want to but another costume or something, you are also charged certain amounts of "cake" if you want to play with a pet that provides bonuses. People who play with pets run out of money faster cause they don't know how to ride solo, they most likely jump right into the game.
Second, tiny wings is definitely not better than this. I've played, and it it seems like a waste of money now. Don't get tiny wings.
Finally, Overall the game is awesome, I love the costumes but it could use more!! Also more maps, and fairs. It'd be really cool though if there was like a sonic the hedgehog costume, you guys should like talk to sega about that.Show lessLavante Hammond
