## What is 5?

Germans used to say „pünktlich wie die Eisenbahn“ – punctual as the railway.

These days it is closer to excuse bingo.

5:59 turns that into a game.

A train counts as punctual as long as it is less than six minutes late. At 6:00 it is officially late. At 5:59 it is not.

GAME MODES:

WHY SO LATE?
A real train from the past seven days, and a real delay. Guess the cause – from four options, or from none at all if you are feeling brave. Then estimate the minutes.

REAL OR INVENTED?
Cause codes, announcements, incidents. Half are real, half we made up. You can usually spot the real ones because they sound less believable.

CLOSEST WINS
One phone, two to sixteen people, taking turns. Built for platforms where time has suddenly become abundant.

Every train is real. Every cause code is on the official list. The only invented things are the ones labelled invented.

Free. No ads, no tracking, no account.
