It’s a solid iPad chess game
While I’d like more in-depth chess tutorials within the app (like Chessbase for WinOS), I enjoy this program. Its UI is animated, pleasant to the eye, and customizable. I feel I got good value for the program (as a casual player).Dreaded Pirate Neem
Fantastic resource
I am a novice/ beginner but I am blown away by the ability to download all of the past and present grandmasters games back to the early 1800’s

I had so much fun in training mode
I rarely play chess. I know some beginner strategies like attacking the middle. But I just played my first game in the app under the watchful eye of the training mode. I was warned four different times that the coach doesn’t recommend that move. Every single time was a simple unforced error that would have lost my piece with no gain. Near the end of the game, the coach was silent. Undo a couple of times gave the same help the coach gave earlier to save my pieces. The end result was I won the game and felt like I earned it. Without the help I would have lost a lot of pieces and likely the game. Now I am motivated to play some more and improve my game.Show lessGearspring
Very savvy a well thought out app for all levels of chess play.
I love playing or studying my moves in coach mode. I enjoy being able to fine tune the graphics of the board to suit my vision. It’s been a joy to use this app. Thank you to all those that helped put this app together and bring it to fruition. With the help of this great app and the time I put into practicing in the coach mode my pattern recognition and overall play has improved.Show lessjohn fireman
Nice chess app, one bug to report
The pro version has some nice features, and I’ve enjoyed playing rated games with the rating increasing incrementally with each game. I like to save the PGN files for later analysis, and one quirk is that Mastersoft Chess is listed as the white player for every game, even if the computer is black and I’m playing white.Show lessBubblesRFL

Apologies, this was supposed to be fixed. We will take a look and fix it for the next update.Way better than the free ones.
