Would be 4-5 when they fix fatal flaw in App
Your iOS App has a fatal flaw; I am writing to hope that your developers can fix this problem. For those who have multiple sites under "House Management: Current House", you need to fix the app so that the user can chose the current house at startup. At the present, the app defaults to the last chosen Current House, and this leads to preventing the user from connecting to any of their Houses, if the last house chosen has lost power. In the event of a power failure, the App ALWAYS continues to connect to the house with no power when that was the last house chosen, which prevents the user to connecting to any house, as there is no way to get to the settings menu to allow the user to change to a house that has power, so the app becomes useless for any account that has multiple houses. There needs to be a user choice at startup to allow the user to switch Current House settings in the event that the app cannot connect to the last setting, in the case that either the server cannot be reached for any reason: power outage, internet connection problems, etc... you get the point.

The worst app I have on my phone
Difficult to connect to the internet. The app is extremely slow, I hate that I have to wait up-to 1.5 minutes for my devices to become active and manageable.
Iโm on my second hub, the first one died at 11 months. I got a free replacement, but Iโm having second thoughts about setting it back up, since Iโm trying to eliminate hubs around my house, specially that ones that donโt cooperate and make my life more difficult. I tried for at least 30 minutes to connect it and I gave up.

Works as expected
Works great. I have the older hub with x10 control. I Iโve slowly added modules over the years. Everything works as expected. Only had one problem with hub connectivity, and it was caused by a bad transformer on a radio.
Works perfectly!
Not sure why the low reviews other than there are not many and they are possibly older.
I love this app and the Insteon products. They have always worked well.
I did have to call support for help with a camera, but all went well. The tech person was very kind and very helpful. He answered all my questions and explained the settings. I didn't feel rushed and when done everything worked.
This is such a great and reliable system that is very affordable.

Good with the potential to be great
This app is user friendly with some great features. My 2 issues are the length of time it takes for the app to open, and the inability to schedule one device for different times each day. Aside from that, the convenience of controlling home functions from my phone is fantastic. Adjusting my thermostat as I hit the runway ensures I enter a warm or cool house upon my return!

Take it back to the store
Terrible product. Apple Watch app works about 10% of the time. iPhone app works much better, but still unreliable and as such, totally unacceptable. Occasionally, the app wonโt connect to Insteon account servers, rendering one unable to use the equipment. I should not have to sign in for a light switch to work. Come on.
Iโve never been so frustrated with a light switch in my life. I never thought a light switch would be something that I could be frustrated with multiple days of the week. Thanks, Insteon?

Sensors notifications master on/off needed
The setup works OK. I wish there was an option to turn sensor notifications on/off when I am at home (kind of like arm/disarm option where you can create and manage a group of devices for which you want the functionality). I just do not want to get alerts every time door/motion/window sensor goes off when I am at home. How about that Insteon team?

Too basic and out of date
The app is years behind the state of the art and the abilities that are available in competing products/apps. Insteon is not user friendly nor is it flexible, compatible with other systems, or capable of some basic type of programming.
For example, you cannot use a sensor to turn on a light for 10 minutes (or any other duration).
You cannot have two scenes (programs) that start at the same time (e.g., sunset). The app actually tells you to combine the scenes. That does a user no good, if the scenes are supposed to end at different times (or duration... if the app actually supported durations).
Insteon, please update the app and your hub to modern standards.
Follow-up: I tried using Alexa with the hub/app. That also barely works. Alexa shows notes that it cannot control scenes. Also, if you say, "Turn off the porch light," Alexa does not work, because it does not know it is a light. It only understands, "Turn off the porch." It is a bit of a bigger deal with the garage door opener, because it is much more unnatural to say, "Turn on garage door" to open the garage.
Insteon, please add interoperability with Wink. Their hub is hardware agnostic and works well for programming different scenarios and works well with Alexa.

One word: Buggy
It took me over a year to finally get my two homes (primary and vacation) working perfectly. Some wired units had to be replaced for failure to connect - may be my fault for mis-wirring. I'm giving them the benefit of doubt. I've bought range extenders. I've changed outdoor timers. I have my primary wired with lots of lamps and outdoor lights on a schedule. I have cameras to monitor my vacation home - which was a primary factor in my purchase. It took lots of tech support to get the cameras operating correctly for remote viewing, but when working they were great.
Lots of upfront cost, BUT I prefer that over monthly fees some systems require. I don't like the fact that I can't have more than one schedule to come on at sunset - everything that turns on at sunset must go off at the same time.
Now I go on vacation and I can't connect. My lake house alarm goes off and my alarm app tells me it's a motion sensor. Insteon fails to connect and I can't see inside. I can't connect to anything. I get home and still can't connect. I can't even connect inside my primary residence. Frustrating is an understatement. Is this a result of the hubs planned - and then delayed - updated?

Buggy App, Terrible Support
The app, itself can be buggy and slow but it does work pretty well most of the time. The dev team does seem to be updating things regularly. However, last month they fired their tech support team and outsourced it to India. The people there were not trained well and can be extremely confusing. Would advise to stay away from this failing company!!!!
