They stole my money

I made a mistake when booking the car and when I tried to fix it (even if it meant paying more) the app didn’t allow me, didn’t answer the line service and when I canceled the booking they kept all my money, my refund was $0 because the “cancellation fee” was all the money I had paid. I’d recommend you other options such as “car next door”. Cheaper, easier, more reliable and better in general.

Sorry, no more

I used this app for several bookings with success. Then came the time I rented with one of the recommended companies, Fox Rental Cars, and it was a bad experience, especially regarding an early drop off. Fox could not be contacted, so I reached out to Rental Car, and they also had no way to contact Fox or assist with one of their curated choices. I see no reason to work with an agent that curates and takes a percentage from their recommendations but then can’t apply some help or pressure when one of their customers needs assistance.

Terrible

Customer service is nearly non-existent. The car I booked wasn’t even available when I went to pick it up. I called them and was on hold for an hour. I was eventually told to get a more expensive car, which was available, and the difference would be refunded to my account. It’s been four months without any word from them and no refund.

I would have had better luck not booking through these people and going straight to the rental companies. Don’t use this app.

Do not use this company

I was in the phone for 3days straight trying to cancel my booking which was put under an incorrect email.. I called to correct as I had not recieved any confirmation emails or anything after the money had been taken from my account.. the first person I spoke to( had to call back 3 times as kept getting disconnected) said that the email that was correct was the one they had.. IT WASNT! Every person told me something different and they have no connection to the actual car company your renting from.. so they can just take your money without any excuses.. I did not collect the car and have lost 400 dollars during the pandemic!!! To say I am angry is a huge understatement

Doesn’t Accommodate.

My flight got switch due to mechanical problems so I wasn’t able to pick up my rental car to drive it to my family emergency. I simply asked if I could move the reservation to the new airport and they said they can’t and I will STILL be charged for the car that I never picked up. They said no refund will be administered either. I had a family emergency during a A PANDEMIC to where I flew to the whole other side of the county and they weren’t willing to work with me.

Reference number

Asks for reference number. When you don’t know what it is, they offer to retrieve an email it to you. 1.) if it’s been retrieved why email it to me? 2.) they don’t really email it to you. So you go back and forth trying to find it. Spam? Updates? Primary? Nope none of them. It never comes. So what’s the point? Do you want me to rent a car from your service or not? Apparently not.

Avoid Rentalcars if at all possible.

I booked and paid for a car in advance for a week’s holiday. When I turned up to pick it up they had closed the depot. I had no communication from Rentalcars and when I called them they had no idea what was going on. They tried to extort me into paying more money for the same booking, but I would have to travel to Heathrow airport, miles from where I live. I’m trying to file a complaint now, but can’t get hold of them.

Trying to communicate with them is infuriating. No accountability, no organisation and they know that if you book a car then you’re at a disadvantage because you plan your entire trip around the booking. Please save yourself the stress and misery, it might save you a few pennies to book at first, but eventually you will get bitten and you’ll lose all the money you saved on previous bookings (and then some).

Useless

Does not work. Cannot connect to wifi or cellular data.

Very disappointed

As a regular booker I was very disappointed today after I had made a mistake booking a car . I thought I had booked for April but instead booked for March. I immediately phoned the office but was told I had to pay £30 to amend the booking . As a pensioner I can’t afford £40 extra but had to pay it to make the booking.

Stay clear

I have been trying to resolve an issue as I was double charged for insurance in Costa Rica-and they will not refund me and won’t even respond to numerous emails. Terrible costumer service/ don’t book with them !!!! Never again
