Avid Listener
App is garbage! My wife and I both have the same I-phones and enjoy listening to Dori and Tom And Curley. It mysteriously stopped loading on my phone yet still works on my wife's. I’ve tried multiple time to delete the app and reload it to no avail. Very frustrating so gave my phone to my IT Dept (daughter) and asked her to figure it out. She couldn’t fix it either and commented that the app is poorly rated which got my attention. I went in and read the reviews and sounds like me and many others have the same issue with this app not loading.

How To Get It to Work
The way that I get the app to work is by turning off my WiFi, then pressing play. At this point the Carter-Subaru ad will start playing, but you can start the steam by pressing play again on the banner at the bottom of the screen. The ad can then be stopped by exiting the app and the show will continue to stream. Lastly, you can turn your WiFi back on and Bob’s your uncle.

Update/bypass intro ad: Would rate higher if
Update: if you start the audio stream so the ad starts, turn off your screen so the ad stops, then press play at the bottom of the screen it will stop the Subaru ad from playing repeatedly. Devs need to test their app better ;)

Love KIRO radio
I love being able to listen to the Tom & Curley Show and Dori Monson. For people complaining about the ad that automatically plays at the beginning, exit out of the app as soon as it starts and go back into it and press play again. That will let you skip the repetitive ad. The app is slightly glitchy, giving you a playback error at times. The thing I wish they'd do is to remember what spot you were at when you pause or stop so that you don't have to go back in and search for where you were at. My love of the 9am-3pm kiro radio programming overcomes these glitches though.

Broadcasts quit sporadically.
The readable content is great and I keep having hopes for this app with each update but they still can't seem to make it stream radio unless you're connected to Wi-Fi and even then it sporadically stops broadcasting and you need to close and restart the app to get it working again.
Curiously enough I can go to the KIRO Radio website and Stream the radio station live from there without a Wi-Fi connection.

When it works it's great
That's just it...when it works it's great. Some serious streaming issues with this app. I have high speed internet and can watch HD videos without issue. Streaming the audio only is laggy and frustrating when it stops in the middle of news stories.
Then there are the times it works and streams fine. I hope they fix the bugs. Before the updates it was better. Need to role this one back to when it worked. Looking forward to a new update folks. You have lots of listeners who want to hear the news.
2/1/17 Update: Just released an update and the playback was much better. No timing out or dropping out of audio as of yet.

What happened?
This used to be a rock solid app until a few weeks ago. The live on air audio used to work flawless and now I am lucky to get five minutes uninterrupted.
Please don't make me watch KIRO TV ads. I will gladly listen to the radio sponsors, but quit cramming Jesse down my throat. I'll turn on the TV if I want video ads. Wait... Maybe a I will just call Jesse and he can find out what the app developers did to mess all of this up. Trenchless in Seattle could build a better app.

Very poorly thought out
Someone wasn't thinking when they designed this app. Either that or KIRO is incredibly insensitive or greedy. This app requires you to watch a video ad before you can connect to live radio. How ridiculous is that? Did they ever think that someone might be wanting to listen to a Sounders game while flying - where wifi is extremely slow and video streaming is not allowed? Thanks a lot KIRO. Missed my game because you have the contract to broadcast it over RADIO and require anyone who wants to listen to watch a VIDEO.

New UI and streaming is much worse than the older version
If things are working, don't change it. The new user interface is not intuitive, we used to have Big easily visible play button but instead we get a tiny square Listen now button. It's a Mobile application and you actually mean to have somebody use it on the go is that right? Why design something that is really hard to hit?
Streaming is not working now. I used to listen it on my Way to work and on my way home, the audio stream will continue automaticity when my phone connect to Bluetooth head unit, and I can keep using the phone during the day, the audio stream will always come one when my car head unit connect to my phone. It's no longer working now, I need to click the listen now button and wait for 2 minutes every time I jump on the car before the audio stream actually come on.
Roll back to the previous version now!!
