  • good old school game!

remember when you bought a game and that was it? well here it is. it’s really hard to find a game today that isn’t full of seizure inducing graphics and in app purchases. f all that. i want to buy a game & then (novel concept to follow) PLAY THE GAME. this does just that. i’ve been playing this for a decade plus. i put it down for a while to replay the total war games. when i came back i was delighted to find literally hundreds of add on games developed by fans all for free! i’m on my 3rd campaign & it’s been months. i can’t recommend this game enough. i wish more developers would go back to this old school model.

  • Amazing

    You guys rock
  • Appears to be fixed - so 5 stars

I previously posted a one star review as the save game function appeared to be broken. This now seems to work fine so definitely a 5 star review. A great mix of simplicity and complexity. Only completed the first scenario so far and it had a good wee storyline. Slightly fiddly to play on an iPhone (as it’s a direct port from PC) but fine once you get to grips with the controls.

  • Best mobile game out there

Honestly, I love this game, I’m the kind of guy who spends 2-3k hours on total war games so I know what I’m talking about. It’s got a great mix of races, units, and load of campaigns. It’s quiet challenging at times too. The only criticism I would have is that I wish the units could evolve more than 3-4 times, but at the end of the day, it’s a free mobile game with many replay ability hours in it.

  • First review and we’ll deserved of one

My favorite game on the App Store. Easily the best strategy game I’ve ever played and deserves all the praise I could find for it. My actual only 2 complaints, minor though they may seem; would be the dragging to move units and the scale of the game itself. The game doesn’t fit well on my phone but I imagine it’s better on tablet. Unit movement is very meticulous and takes a LOT of getting used to. Other than that this game has LOADS of content and you’ll never get bored with it. Huge learning curve and will butcher you if taken lightly.

  • Happy player

Played this game since I was young - so glad to have a good port for the iPhone!
  • Brilliant game and completely free!!!

The game is a moderately complex and quite unforgiving, fantasy board game (except for the reload function). It has character and unit progression that makes you really care about certain units that have become veterans over the course of multiple scenarios. However, what makes it outstanding is that it is FREE!!! Not pay in app. Not click through 10 seconds of adds every time you turn it on. Not pay to win!! Not pay more to open access to a unit or a scenario. It’s a community led development which I am extremely grateful and appreciative of. At best you love it like me and waste many hours on epic quests and at worst you decide it isn’t pretty or animated enough for you and you go do something else.

  • Don’t judge the game too quick

This is one of my favorite strategy games there is, I absolutely love this game. Although I don’t play it a very often, when I do play it I play it for a long time. But the most important thing I think people need to know is that this is easier to get the hang of (and infinitely better for long campaigns) when you play it on a computer, so go to steam RIGHT NOW and download it! PLEASE don’t judge this game because you died once, if you die, just use the back to previous turn button :)

  • Love this game, But a major problem

First of all, I love this game. But, there is one major problem that I want to say something about. It is that if your main leader dies (not hero, just leader. If you have two leaders, then just look on load game to see which on is your main), you cannot replay. If you try to replay, your main leader, or hero, or even your secondary leader, says his or her death dialogue. This is very frustrating when, having gone through 30 scenarios, finding out that you die when you had just about figured out the scenario! I’m not sure if this is just a bug, or part of the game. My friend has not experienced this problem, so it might just be my device. The main reason I am giving this five stars is because of the campaign Legend of the Invincibles. I think you should try this game, just be warned to be careful, especially in campaigns that are long. I also think that you should try the south guard as a learn the basics campaign, not a tale of two brothers.

  • PC equal

Almost as good as the PC version except my Brydge keyboard commands don’t work. Anyone know what’s up with that?!
    can still use the mousepad.
The timer was the only think I never enjoyed about this game.
    GREAT GAME anyway though.
