  • Unprofessional behavior and conduct

    I had to call bank mobile and inquire as to why and when my disbursement would be processed as well as when it would be transferred seeing as it had been there since Friday. I don’t see why institutions would use this third party as financial aid disbursement with the unprofessional behavior and conduct I witnessed today. Calling support you could barely hear the questions being asked by the agent as the background noise was so loud. Met with a tone of disdain, arrogance and iratibilty for interrupting their “gathering” with my inquiry call. however that wasn’t the end as I or she had immediately disconnected the call without a closure or anything. Along with being told they don’t have to adhere by the FRCA, as to denial for an account (minimize the refund processing )when I had called and requested a reason or information I was simply told that they didn’t know why It was the security dept that makes the decision and that they don’t have to inform or tell consumers why apparently they are denied They claim they don’t use credit reports yet under the user agreement it says that they do So be mindful

  • a CONSTANT headache.

    I did not choose to use Bankmobile Vibe when I started school, but I had to. At first, I had no issues with them at all, but as soon as they updated the app, I have had constant problems & there is no easy way to have them fixed. There is no chat support, or any way to look up error codes when they show up (nor does google have ANY information about them, at all), and just getting through to a representative can take up to an hour. For two months now, I’ve had issues trying to get a new card. None of the services offered in-app work properly, I can’t EVER get a money transfer to go through and that’s my only way to access my funds currently because my temporary virtual card won’t work either. I can’t add money to my cashapp, the transaction is declined EVERY TIME, I now can’t transfer any funds to other accounts through Vibe itself, and I have no way to access MY OWN money. I cant make any purchases, they are immediately declined no matter who the merchant is. It’s been nothing but constant frustration & trouble. They fix it for one day & it’s immediately back to absolute nonsense. Absolutely not worth anything. If you google “Bankmobile Vibe issues”, there are entire reddit threads dedicated to the bad experiences people have had. I recommend finding any other bank.

  • It’s wonky

    After the ordeal that I got double charged taking me to negative balance and days the app didn’t notify why my balance was reduced. On the day of the return of the new update. I had $8. Since checked. Hours later, I noticed I was missing $15. But it didn’t told me who done it. Until a day later it was the same website I purchased credit and receiving a refund for a bid. Today was the last day for it to be normalized. Sadly I investigated my purchases and this app combined my recent purchase with my pay by four purchase. My blind side thought it was already applied. How I forget yesterday! I’m clear for now but you trick me! You done it again.

  • EVERYONE IS INCOMPETENT

    1st - they keep you in that automated hold for almost 30 minutes maybe more

    2nd- you finally get someone and of course its not someone you can clearly understand. Im a immigrant and I tell you this much it’s disgusting that im not able to speak to anyone whose first language is English

    3rd Then they ask you all these questions your email address your date of birth your telephone number which school you went to your last four digits of your social. They might as well ask you your address your mom‘s name your dad‘s name and his father‘s name.

    AND still cant tell you anything in your account WHICH IS EXTREMELY SKETCHY AND MAKES YOU FEEL UNSAFE

    4th The operator cant answer any account questions without putting you on hold and then comes back with NO ANSWER.

    5. All they tell you is that they will create a follow up. No answers, they don’t know why a certain thing is happening to your account. They are clueless everyone you speak to has to put you on hold just to come back to give you nothing.

    I spoke to 2 operators today and both have no business having access to anyone’s banking information. I dont know what screen they are looking at but it cant be the same screen as mine.

    Might add the update that you did to your app is trash!

  • Omen new update

    Update: I was double charge for my updated balance of the certain website. Therefore why I’m in the negative balance. The poor update didn’t include $40 when I lost my money. It was only displaying $24. I’m expecting a refund from them and they probably did me dirty before the refund. As the app is improving solely by itself and receiving my purchases and deposit in order in a slow time. Only $24 is displayed as pending charges. It is unknown if they have eaten part of my balance. But I’ll wait for it to drop away. If you remember the app didn’t told me why I was drained until a day later. I was drained hours after I got from the update and checked I had a positive number after the update. I have no idea whose fault. I’ve gotten double charges before. But it was from a website that had a bad history with it. It took 7 days for the other to drop. Well in the past months, frequently from Japanese websites the complete purchases would drop the charges. Not sure if this is the opposite. But the extra charges disappeared after 2 days. Now we need the final ones that are appearing.

  • Not a good experience the last couple months

    I find it strange and weird that between my bank and my job no one is giving me a clear solution on how to get my paydays through the bank processed on Fridays instead of Mondays/Tuesdays. The bank ensures that you’ll get your paychecks earlier than some, but now that isn’t the case and there’s no clear solution to fix this. Not BankMobile or my job can clarify exactly why.

    Additionally, as of writing this, I went to purchase food in a restaurant and the transfers feature was disabled. I find this extremely frustrating and inconvenient because I could not initially transfer funds because “some features won’t be available for a bit”, I was stuck and needed to leave to ask some else to pay for me- it’s embarrassing. Also, I get that if these are maintenance related issues but this pops up without any warning ahead of time. What if I need to do an emergency transfer???

    I’ve been using this app since I started college, but these are dealbreakers for me, and I think I need to find another bank to do business with so I encounter these problems less.

If you qualify, you’ll receive your direct deposit up to 2 days early. Here's how it works: 1 - Your employer sends your payroll information to the Federal Reserve. 2 - The Federal Reserve tells us how much you should be paid and when. 3 - Instead of making your money available to you on that date, we make it available to you as soon as we receive notification from the Federal Reserve, which is often times up to two days earlier. Please keep in mind that early access to payroll deposit funds depends on deposit description and timing of payer’s submission of deposit. We generally post such deposits on the day they are received which may be up to two (2) business days earlier than the payer’s scheduled payment date. In addition, BMTX has been conducting a daily maintenance every evening for years around 11PM ET, which lasts a few hours. This maintenance does not affect debit card purchases, however may affect your ability to transfer funds during this time. Please schedule your transfers outside of this timeframe.     I recently just started using this bank due to my refunds being sent from my school to this bank and I have had several issues with my card as well as my digital wallet. I can’t even use my physical card anywhere it literally declines it and says insufficient funds even though I have money in my account. Even with the digital wallet I have had several issues from my card randomly being removed from my apple wallet without my permission. My account is locked when I haven’t even logged in through any other devices but my phone using Apple ID and then I was told in order to unlock my account I would have to call customer service which I did do and have received no response at all for the past 2 weeks. This is really frustrating especially during the height of the fall semester trying to purchase books and exam keys.

  • Terrible Banking App. Inconvenient. Terrible Customer Service/Support

    Completely Disappointing . Terrible Customer Service, especially when maintenance time comes around you could be sitting around for days trying to get a relevant response in regards to your account being on “hold.” The whole customer service team is unprofessional and at times they don’t even know what’s going on, “not knowing when maintenance is over”, “not having access to their systems”, and just the lies they tell you about your account/debit card. In my experience, no other bank has ever taking this long to “verify identities”, process refunds, contact you back, and so much more. Overall, this app and accounting system was forced upon me for school, but I would not recommend it to anyone. Save your time and money by banking somewhere else, with guarantees on your money, and a guarantee for good customer service/support.

BMTX successfully processes about 5 million student refunds for about 700 schools across the country. We deliver these refunds on time as disclosed to all students when they select their refund preference. Students are provided with several refund options on how they want to receive their refund, as provided by each school. Students are not required to open a Vibe account in order for BMTX to process their refunds. Paul
  • The worst

    For some reason the card doesn’t work on everything.
    Second, whenever you refund something, you never ever get that money back. If you contact the stores that you are getting your refund from they will say they already sent it but your bank hasn’t cleared it or something.
    Third, the user interface and app design is sooo bad, I think like I could build a better app. The app is slow.
    4th you cannot send money directly from the app or that bank, you have to “spend” it with them which is so dumb because I never wanted their dumb bank.
    5th they closed my account for having an overdraft of 1$ and change because who would ever put money back into the bank that doesn’t even work? On top of that the bank kept on sending me emails everyday about how I needed to pay that 1$. Anyways it kept on saying that I had 120 days to pay and I was like alright by then I’ll get another check right? All of a sudden in like 2 days they close my account. Like babies, first they said 120 days, now 2 days all over 2$.
    I’d suggest to you all to find some method to transfer everything you get out from this dumb bank and into something else because anything else is better.

  • Cancelled my card without notice

    I noticed some fraudulent charges on my account, and in the past they've investigated them and solved the problem without any issue. This time for whatever reason they completely canceled my debit card, leaving me without any way to pay for anything. The day I noticed it I was at the grocery store, trying to buy medication and when I called them, they kept telling me about a virtual card but it didn't even show up on the website until a day later. Like other people have mentioned in their reviews, it's rare to get notified if the website will have maintenance or anything scheduled. I've had several times when I've tried to go in just a simply transfer money from my savings to my checking just for them to say that "important things" will still be working. So at the moment I don't have a debit card and I can't transfer funds from my savings to my checking to buy things at the grocery store with my apple pay. This whole situation has caused a huge inconvenience.

For the safety of your account, BMTX will cancel a debit card if fraudulent charges are reported so no further debits can occur. This is a standard practice with all banks in the United States. Once your Vibe debit card is cancelled, a virtual card is available for use immediately for online purchases or to pay bills. In addition, BMTX conducts a daily maintenance every evening around 11PM ET, which lasts a few hours.
