Laggy, insecure
First, it is laggy: You think that it isn't working laggy. Not every time--once or twice it actually moved when I tapped--but usually.
Second, there is NO security. That password you entered? It is sent totally unencrypted, insecure, every time you do anything:
PW=presenter_pass&REQUEST_DATA=/290_10.jpg
And no, it doesn't use https. I'm new to IOS, so I don't know if this is normal, but...wow. I guess the dev didn't figure any real security was needed. Maybe not, but I'm not comfortable with that.

Video?
Does not mirror video playing through Media Shout. Disappointing. Let's not be like everyone else and release an app that is not ready for prime time just to fund further development/improvement.
Premature on the release
I wanted to love this app, but was very disappointed with the bugs in stage display, network connection and so forth. Tech support says the bugs will be fixed in the first update. I say get it right before you release it. Church services can be completely disrupted by the bugs that exist in this app.

Disappointing control
I bought this app with expectation that I would be able control the presentation similar to the way you'd do it on the laptop. The fact that this app is strictly linear in nature makes it almost useless to me. We have a lot of speakers who jump from one slide to another that are not necessarily next to each other. They tell the operator what slide number to go to and you can scroll down and click on the one they want. This doesn't even show the numbers let alone the fact that you have to go through every slide in between! If this feature can be added, it will be a great app!

Better than expected!
I have to honestly admit I purchased this app with LOW expectations, but the promise of what it could do was way too tempting, so I thought I would give it a try.
And guess what? So far it has delivered in what it said it could do! I used it in a worship service this week and it was a very handy and practical tool. MediaShout itself can be buggy at times, so I really feared this would accentuate its parent software's faults.
The only bug I've found is that Imported PowerPoint slide shows cause it to freeze what's on the screen every now and then, forcing you to go to the desktop and kick things into gear again. So, my five star rating is more about the potential of this project and not a declaration that it's perfect. ;)
I am so looking forward to the future of this app. I would love to be able to add notes and Bible passages on the fly.

Does not work. What a waste of time and money!
Prepared to love it
As a regular user of MediaShout, I was prepared to love this app, because we've been using other remote apps effectively. Thought this integration would be effective. Doesn't recognize available network computers, thus is useless. Just opens and sits there.
Works as expected for a 1.0 app. Minor bugs.
I tried this app for the first time this morning during our services and it worked pretty good except for one crash. Also had a problem reconnecting after the iPhone was laid down for a few minutes and went to sleep. A quit and relaunch of the app got it working again. Setup was quick and easy on both the display computer and the iPhone. Videos won't play on the iPhone when in display mode. Running the presentation was flawless but you need to avoid letting the phone go to sleep to maintain the connection.
The app shows great promise and I expect these minor bugs will be solved over time.

Awesome addition to media shout
This is a great app. Works great! Followed the simple instructions on the website and was up and running in minutes. Excellent work. Worth the $$$
